Inderjeet Singh has completed his first throw at the finals for the Men's shot put event with a throw of 19.52m

Shot put event is underway at the IAAF World Championships as India's Inderjeet Singh gets ready to throw.

Justin Gatlin, Usain Bolt, Tyson Gay and Asafa Powell among the 6 sprinters who will battle for the men's 100m title this evening.

Both Justin Gatlin of the USA (1st) and Usain Bolt of Jamaica (3rd) have progressed to the finals of the IAAF World Championships in Beijing ,China.

Usain Bolt of Jamaica finished third overall at the 100m semi-finals with a time of 9.96.

The Jamaican, labelled the fastest man of all time, had a time of 9.96s to finish top first heats at the semis.

Justin Gatlin takes top spot at the 100m semis.

Denis Kudryavtsev of Russia has won the men's 400m hurdles semi-finals with a time of 48.23s

The 400m hurdles commence at the IAAF World Championships.

The finals of the Hammer Throw event have commenced. The all-time record is held by Yuriy Sedykh of the then-Soviet Union.
