Mandhana says, "I was quite nervous after 90 but my partner helped me keep me going and my partner Mona told me not to play a rash shot. This knock is special because we were chasing and my first hundred we lost the match (against Australia), and this comes in the World Cup. Everyone has a career goal but right now we're focusing on each match. My birthday is on 18th July so my jersey number is 18."

Taylor says, "I'm very disappointed. This was the second time our batting failed. When you look back you realise that is where you went wrong (not rotating strike in the middle overs when the spinners came); also, the bowling needs a bit of work."

Mithali Raj says, "I am very pleased with the way girls responded today. Though there were a few fielding lapses. But the spinners bowled well. A good hundred from Mandhana was much needed because we lost two early wickets. It was not the day for pacers, but the spinners did well to get us back in the game. We have a couple of games and we need to focus on fielding.

"We needed that partnership and advised her (Mandhana) to avoid rash shots."

Chasing a low target of 184, India were initially in trouble. Punam Raut was out in the very first over with the score reading null while Deepti Sharma, as well, had to depart soon. However, Mithali Raj joined Smriti Mandhana in the middle and the duo steadied the ship.

Mandhana was the more attacking of the duo, scoring at almost a-run-a-ball. Raj, on other hand, was calm and composed through her innings. The two complemented each other and forged a solid 108-run partnership. Eventually, Raj was dismissed for 46 but by then the match was
safely in India’s pocket.

Mandhana, though, carried on and soon completed her century in just 105 balls. She finished unbeaten on 106 off just 108 balls, her highest individual score, hitting 13 fours and 2 sixes on her way.

India have done it! Mandhana hits the winning runs with a boundary! India win by seven wickets!

And Smriti Mandhana brings up her hundred in the best way possible! She makes room and lifts the ball over cover for a four.

170/3 after 40 overs. Mandhana survives! That was a short ball and she pulled it in the air. Just fell short of the fielder. She manages a wry smile.

Mandhana got out for 90 in the last match. Is that playing on her mind somewhere? She is taking her time today. Deserves a century.

Another four for Mandhana! Flicks it nicely off the pads. Nice wrist-work, nice balance, one bounce into the boundary. She is now on 92!

Oh, brilliant shot from Meshram. Short and wide outside the off stump, Meshram slaps the ball through the point region for a boundary.

Matthews looks like she has problems on her chest and she will receive treatment for that. Mandhana, as well, is on the floor getting some massage as drinks have been called on.

151/3 after 37 overs. Two runs from that over. The scoring rate has gone down after Raj's wicket but there is nothing to panic about.

149/3 after 36 overs. Another tight over from Matthews. Just the single off it.

Matthews bowling a tight line and in some good areas. She has bowled well today and was rewarded with the wicket of Raj.

FOUR! It's just too easy for Mandhana. That one was drifting down leg, Mandhana just helped it along with a little push.

Afy Fletcher brought back into the attack.

141/3 after 34 overs. Brilliant over from Matthews. India still need 43 more runs to win the match.

Mona Meshram is the new batswoman in. Mandhana is back on her feet.

Mandhana is stretching out in presence of the physio. Looks like cramps. She will hate to miss out on a century for the second time in the running.

OUT! Raj has been using her feet against Matthews but this time she fails to clear the in-field. A full toss from Matthews and the Indian skipper was looking to lift it over mid-off there. The partnership has finally been broken.

140/2 after 33 overs. Meanwhile, Raj is nearing her fifty steadily. She is playing on 46 from 84 balls. From the same number of balls, Mandhana has scored 79 runs. Shows how different these two are in their approach.

Another boundary for Raj. Skipped down the track with intent and hit it quite firmly towards long-on. The fielder gets a hand but cannot stop it.

Matthews with the sharp turn yet again and Mandhana edges it past the keeper. The ball races away towards the third man for a boundary. Frustration for Matthews, frustration for the Windies.

114/2 after 29 overs. India are in cruise control here. They are looking well set to win again today.

A loose delivery from Mohammed is punished by Raj. The Indian reads the length early, steps down the track and receives the ball on the full. She then guides it towards mid-wicket for a boundary.

108/2 after 28 overs. Matthews was getting some sharp turn but nothing that will trouble Raj. 3 runs from that over.
