The newcomers make a grand entry into the big-money league as they put on a commanding display against last year's league toppers. Bengaluru were dominating proceedings from the start of play and the scoreline reflects it. Mumbai never really got going as they struggled to maintain possession of the ball. Sunil Chhetri scored in the death against his old side to wrap the 3 points for the Blues.

90+4' - The ref calls an end to the game as Bengaluru FC make a winning start in their new campaign in the Indian Super League. New frontiers for the side but they maintain their quality.

90+3' - GOAL!! Bengaluru skipper capitalizes on Amrinder and Wadoo's communication as he gets an open goal to finish the chance as Bengaluru double their lead.

Wadoo initially let the ball go and then headed it and it came off Amrinder and fell to Chettri who is too good to miss out on such chances.

62' - Edu Garcia takes a great shot from way outside as Amrinder palms it away for a corner. The BFC setpiece-taker got decent amount of power on that attempt.

61' - Emana does well it to get past two oncoming BFC defenders and slots it to Everton ahead but the return ball is not dealt with him well and the defense clears for a quick break.

59' - The hour mark approaches as the score still stands 0-0 here at the Kanteerava with Bengaluru finding it tough to breach the solid Mumbai defensive wall.

57' - Khabra puts in with good pace but Wadoo rises and heads it out. Corner for BFC.

56' - Udanta is brought down by Raju Gaikwad just outside the box on the right side as BFC have a good chance for breaking the deadlock in the match.

53' - Emana slots it through nicely off the outside boot but the shot is blocked after Everton cuts past two players but Juanan blocks it and BFC are safe.

50' - Chettri lays it up nicely for Lenny Rodrigues who takes a long-range effort but it is too wide to be of any trouble for Mumbai custodian Amrinder Singh.

46' - Miku manages to put the ball into the net after a poor clearance but he is called offside. Great going from the home side.

22' - Raju Gaikwad belts in a long-range throw into the BFC box but Goian gets called offside.

17' - Achile Emana comes on for the injured Leo Costa as the Cameroonian medio takes to the field in ISL for the first time.

16' - Injury concerns have resurfaced for Leo Costa as he is down on the pitch clutching his thigh and is headed out to the sidelines. Mumbai may have to make an early sub here.
