The game ends in favor of the away Delhi side who impressed throughout with their attacking play as the left-wing duo of Sena Ralte and Lallianzuala Chhangte running riot on the Pune defense. The match was a game of two halves as, after a goalless first half, the second half came to life. Delhi scored 3 quick goals as Pune mounted a comeback but it came too late as they were left chasing the game on the night.

90+4' - PUNE SCORE!! After the free-kick fails, Romeo goes on the clear but loses the ball. Marcelinho gets it on the right wing and cuts in the box and slots in a cross across the face of the goal where Tebar is left with just a simple tap-in to make it 3-2.

90+3' - Pune win a free-kick just outside the box as Lumu handles the ball after the ball is cleared off a Marcelo free-kick from the right. Chance for Pune to grab a consolation goal at the end.

92' - Delhi are keeping the ball in possession as they aim to run down the clock with the two-goal advantage to their name as Pune meet their fate with just 3 minutes of play left to go.

90' - The fourth official has added on 5 minutes of injury time as the score stands 3-1 in favor of the Delhi Dynamos side.

89 ' - Kean Lewis is put through well by Marcelinho's header but his cross is too strong for Alfaro who chases but the ball goes out of play.

65' - AND THAT IS THREE!! Mirabaje scores a stunning strike after creating space for himself at the top of the box and unleashes a shot that heads for the top left corner. Delhi have totally taken over with 3 goals in the first 20 minutes of the first half.

57' - SAVE!! Delhi almost have their third as Diaz's cross from the right after a lay-off is met by Mirabaje who rose the highest but it falls straight into the keeper's hands and Pune escape.

53' - DELHI STRIKE AGAIN!! Chhangte grabs a much-deserved goal as the 20-year old youngster unleashes after a loose play from the Pune defense results in the ball falling to the winger. The keeper Kamaljit rushed out and almost destabilized Chhangte but the feisty Mizo winger lifts it over into the goal to get the second for the away side.

52' - Alfaro takes a shot after darting in from the midfield but it is not a clean strike and drifts away from the Delhi goal to the right side; out for a goal-kick.

49 ' - Another Chance for Delhi. Mirabaje's chance takes a deflection that goes just over the Pune goal as Delhi have begun on a strong note in the second half. Time for the home side to pick up their game.

46' - GOOOAALL!! The first attack comes to fruition as Chhangte and Sena Ralte combine on the left wing as Delhi take the lead through Paulinho's header. The Brazilian headed the ball with fierce power and Singh was no match for it in the goal. Great start from the side from the capital.

45' - The second half action is up and running as the home side get things rolling in Pune with both sides looking to get the advantage as they tussle to break the deadlock on the night.

An uneventful half of game comes to an end here as the sides head goalless into the break. Pune have struggled to get going but have created the better chances so far in the match. Delhi Dynamos, despite being dominant on the ball haven't troubled Kamaljit Singh in the Pune goal. Alfaro and Marcelinho have been kept pretty much quiet by the Delhi defense. 38' - Alfaro has looked frustrated on the pitch as he has seen a couple of decisions going against him and hasn't received good delivery from his midfield.

33' - More than half an hour gone but the teams are still locked at 0-0 with none of the teams looking in control so far. Delhi have had the major share of possession but haven't created many opportunities.

31' - A good link-up play between Baljit Sahni and Alfaro sees the foreigner through on goal but Albino rushes out and keeps the former NEUFC man away from the ball.

25' - The possession stats in the first 25 minutes has Delhi dominating with 61% ball possession but only one shot to their name. Pune have had one shot at the Delhi goal too.

22' - CHANCE!! Lucca plays a great diagonal ball for Alfaro in the box who tries to head it over but it comes off Pratik Chowdhary but Albino is up to the task and dives to make the collection. First meaningful attack from the home side.

20' - Delhi Dynamos have dominated proceedings in the first 20 minutes as they have looked threatening on the wings with the superb Chhangte and Ralte operating on the left side with deliveries for Uche as the Pune defense has managed to keep their goal intact so far.

13' - So far, both the teams have been trying to gain control of the game as Pune seem to build from the centre, whereas Delhi have mostly used the wings to their advantage.

7' - CHANCE!! Ball put in by Chhangte from the left wing and the rebound falls for Mirabaje but hi shot if wide off the target.

4' - Pune have started positively stringing up passes well and looking for holes in the Delhi defense as Alfaro lobs up a ball for Fanai but the cross is dealt with well by the Delhi backline.

2' - Jonathan Lucca has the first shot on target after being put through on the right side of the box but his shot is too weak to trouble Albino Gomes in the Delhi goal.

And Pune City, on the other hand, managed to keep just two clean sheets in their entire season.

As far as back-stories go, the ISL, perhaps, could not have seen a better match than the one between FC Pune City and Deli Dynamos, at the Balewadi Sports Complex, in Pune, tonight.

There have been a number of transfers between the two sides, with as many was three players set to play against their respective clubs tonight. While the likes of striker Marcelinho, playmaker Marcos Tebar and winger Kean Lewis made the switch from Delhi to Pune, striker Kalu Uche made the move in the opposite direction.

The opening ISL 2017 game of these two clubs represents with a magnificent opportunity for both of them to jump to the top of the table, a position that is currently being filled by league debutants Bengaluru FC. A win by three goals or more would take either of the two sides to the top.
