Besiktas have made an offer to Liverpool midfielder Lucas Leiva according to reports in Turkey. The midfielder is currently the longest serving member of the Reds squad but is without a contract at the end of the season. Lucas is reportedly demanding a salary of £4.2M per season and the Turkish club can offer the added incentive of Champions League football.

Chelsea target Dries Mertens has confirmed that he has no intention of leaving Napoli to play in the Premier League. The Belgian scored 33 goals last season and signed a three-year-deal last week with a buyout clause. "Yes there is a buy out clause. But I'm happy at Napoli and I want to stay. I really like Italy. I am good there and they treat me good," he said. "This season was really good. I am gong to try and be even better next year," he added.

Manchester City have completed the signing of 22-year-old Monaco defender Benjamin Mendy for £39.8 million, according to The Sun. This is City's second transfer from Monaco after they signed Bernardo Silva earlier this summer. Mendy has agreed to a £100,000-a-week, four-year deal.

Benfica have signed Benfica goalkeeper Ederson for a World Record fee of €40m. That would mean Joe Hart wll be moving at the end of the season. Also, Enes Unal has signed for Villarreal for a fee around €12m after his season long loan at Twente.
