Victor Valdes' career at Manchester United all but over after Van Gaal's public rant

When asked about Di Maria, Van Gaal said, "We shall see. In football, it is a process, as I have said many times before in press conferences. It's not clear in one day. It's a process for Angel Di Maria, it's a process for Manchester United and we shall see. But he is still a member of Manchester United and he has said to me he will come on July 25."

“If you do not play in the first team, our philosophy is to play in the second team. He refused to do that last year. That is one aspect of our philosophy, but there are a lot of other aspects in the philosophy of how you have to play like a goalkeeper at Manchester United."

“He is not selected because he doesn’t follow our philosophy and there is no place for that one player. Philosophy is how you play football and how you maintain your match rhythm. When you are not willing to follow the principles of the philosophy, then there is only one way and that is out.”

Speaking at a press conference held to present United’s latest signings in Seattle yesterday, Louis van Gaal said that the former Barcelona shot-stopper would be leaving the club as he did not fit into his philosophy.
