Fight now on for P4 between Repsol Honda's Marc Marquez and Andrea Dovizioso of Ducati.

Dani Pedrosa goes P1 after some very precise control to make Lorenzo's championship fight difficult; now Valentino Rossi catches him too, trying to extend his own lead on the championship title.

As Valentino Rossi's tyre issues continue, Dani Pedrosa steals P2 from the Italian. Jorge Lorenzo leads Pedrosa by 2.7 seconds.

Another driver falls as Suzuki's Maverick Vinales tumbles at turn 11. He's okay.

Dani Pedrosa is in the fight, shortening his gap to Valentino Rossi with each lap! With 11 laps to go, he's trying to catch up Rossi...and possibly take the win.

A breakdown for Andrea Iannone of Ducati, who navigates his bike across the dirt to get off the track. It's the end of his Japanese Grand Prix.

Precise throttle control from Jorge Lorenzo has seen him extend his lead over Valentino Rossi. A dominant performance from the Spaniard, who has won 6 races this year already.

Lorenzo, Rossi and Dovizioso are all on a hard-soft front-rear combination at the Japanese GP, a crucial race for the MotoGP championship as Jorge Lorenzo tooks to take it from his teammate, 6-time champ Rossi.

Suzuki's Aleix Espargaro is moving through the ranks! He's caught out Andrea Iannone to go P6 behind Marc Marquez.

Marc Marquez finished qualifying in P3 but has been caught out by the Ducatis and his own teammate. He's moved his way up to P5 now behind Ducati's Andrea Dovizioso and his own Repsol Honda teammate, Dani Pedrosa.

A close battle starts off between Lorenzo and his teammate, rain specialist Valentino Rossi, with the Spaniard currently dominating the Italian.

And they're off on their warm-up lap! It's still raining at the Twin Ring Motegi, with both Yamahas on the front row and Marc Marquez rounding it off.

Although Moto2 was shortened, we'll see a full-time MotoGP race, organisers have said.

It's raining at the Twin Ring Motegi, which saw a shortened Moto2 race. French rider Johann Zarco has won the race, taking the World Championship in Moto2 for the first time.
