World No. 2 and top seed at the Senior National Championships in the women's singles, PV Sindhu will play her second match of the day in the competition and will be up against youngster Shriyanshi Pardeshi.

The Hyderabadi had a comfortable start to the tournament, as she defeated Revathi Devasthale, overcoming some stiff resistance from her opposition in the first game. She had a narrow 12-11 lead, but was able to run away from there and took the game 21-16, despite some good play by Devasthale. However, in the second game, it was as one-sided as it could possible get as Sindhu recorded a comfortable 21-2 win.

Pardeshi, who is the seventh seed in the competition, will have it all to do in this match. She too had a straight-game victory against Malvika Bansod, winning 21-11 21-18.
