Andy Murray takes on Andrey Rublev: Australian Open Live Match Updates Day 3

It's a straight sets win here for Andy Murray, with no real challenge from Rublev in the end.

Rublev is bageled in the second, as Murray leads 6-3, 6-0.

It's run away now for Rublev, and even he knows it's done.

There's a lovely rally from the teen to set up a point but he sends one wide and loses it, sadly.

Early break for Murray in the second. 1-0 and Rublev is on his guard now.

Andy Murray's leading Rublev 5-3 in the first set, meaning that Rublev's mounted quite a fight. The youngster plays some great defensive tennis and mark our words, the teen is one to look out for.

But wait a second... back to that Kyrgios match. He tried tweeners, running shots, all of it and it almost looked like Kyrgios had won.

Seppi serves for the match - and wins 10-8 in the fifth!

Murray is playing attacking tennis, but 19-year-old Rublev is not bad at defense! He gets to Murray's shot and tries to return, but sends the backhand slice too flat - and nets it! Murray is up an early break at 4-2.

Scores are at 1-1, and Murray's sending crosscourt forehands to successfully confuse Rublev. The teen is great on his returns, but seems to be having a few teething troubles. Understandable given the pressure of the stage, add to that the gravity of his opponent...

Rublev manages to hold his first game quickly to love. Really great stuff from the teen here under the immense pessure of playing the World No. 1.

And Seppi lives! He wins the third set 6-4 and Kyrgios is being pushed to his limit now.

Kyrgios' match is getting tighter and tighter. He's up two sets to love, but the second went to tiebreak and the third looks to be going the same way. Can Seppi, a giant-killer on his best day, force another one?

Roger Federer takes decisive win in Round 2 at Australian Open 2017

Federer holds to love at the most crucial of moments. And there it is - the third set tiebreak!

Rubin holds serve in a game that has gone on over forty minutes now. He leads 6-5 and it's looking like Federer will take this one to tiebreak too.

Only Roger Federer. From trailing 2-5, he's now brought it up to 5-5 in the third and could well finish this off.

And there's the double break for Mirza and Strycova! They lead 4-1 in the second and are quickly racing to the win here.

This anger is really helping Roger Federer - he sends aggressive forehands wildly into Rubin's half - but they're controlled and perfectly placed! The agile Young American spins out to return it as he has done, and well, in this set, but he can't grasp it.

Federer gets the crucial break of serve and now trails 4-5!

A couple of random long shots from Federer and his aggression is feeding his forehand here. Someone from the crowd is shouting "Come on Roger Federer!"

And he'll hold on for at least another game. Federer swings the balance back to himself in that game to trail 3-5 as Rubin serves for the set.

Tough match for Federer here in this set, but Angelique Kerber is celebrating - a win and a birthday.

Dear oh dear, it appears this set has run away from Federer. Rubin leads 5-2 now, and Federer must serve to stay in it.

Federer holds, and he's slowly looking to wrest control back from Rubin. But the tension is palpable, and shots are inexplicably running wide. Bit too many unforced errors, at 33 for Federer.

Rubin's running away with this set though, at 4-1. Federer's not best pleased with himself at all.

After six deuce points, Sania Mirza and Barbora Strycova finally take the first set, 6-3 in their match! Mirza's forehand is as good as ever, and she slots one in from the baseline for a great point.

Can Federer be awarded double points for that ace? He slices a forehand almost at ground level for that point.

Federer holds a service game for the first time in the third. There's a down the line shot from the baseline, but he sends it just long, and Rubin's at game point now and racing away with the lead. The usually calm Federer is now angry with himself.

There's a big stare-down from Federer to Rubin now, and the Swiss is rattled. Rubin holds his second service game and he's now up 3-0. Are we looking at a fourth set, or possibly even a fifth?

After pushing and pushing - and a couple of perfectly placed winners from Federer, Rubin finally gets the much-needed break! He leads 2-0 in the third.

Elsewhere, Sania Mirza and Barbora Strycova are up a break at 5-3 and serving for the set!
