Former IPL chairman arrested
Former Indian Premier League chairman Chirayu Amin was arrested in Gujarat late on Thursday for illegal consumption of alcohol. Along with him, over 250 others were arrested for consuming alcohol in the dry state of Gujarat.
He was the chairman of the Indian Premier League and vice president of the Board of Control for Cricket in India. He was also the chairman of the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and also the president of the Baroda Cricket Association.
“We have recovered 103 bottles of Indian made foreign liquor (IMFL) and 113 of beer worth Rs 1,28,950 from the spot. Many men and women appeared inebriated and so were taken to a hospital to collect their blood samples to verify presence of alcohol in their body,” Vadodara Superintendent of Police Saurabh Tolambiya told reporters here on Friday.

Australian opener David Warner has said that he has been batting well in the nets and it was now time for him to go out and deliver in the middle.
The 30-year-old said that every player goes through a cycle, Warner said that he needs to show patience during this phase and expressc confidence that the tide would change.
"The tide will change. Many players before have experienced the same thing. I just have to keep a level head, a cool head and make sure that I watch every ball as hard and as closely as I can.
"It's just a little bit of a cycle, I think. I go out there every time I bat to try and put as many runs on the board as I can, same mindset, same process I go through with training, " he said.

Australia to fly to Dubai before Indian tour
The Australian cricket team led by Steven Smith will embark on a trip to Dubai, before their tour to India next year.
This trip is part of the preparations for the Australian team, as the team has had a shambolic record in Asia. Hence, the team would look to acclimatise to subcontinental conditions before their stern Indian test begins.
The Steven Smith-led side would take on the UAE side and would also be involved in a practice match with Afghanistan.
