That brings the show to a close, and we hope you enjoyed our coverage of SmackDown Live.

07:36 (IST)26 JUL 2017

07:36 (IST)26 JUL 2017

Kevin Owens is absolutely livid. He gets on the microphone and demands to invoke his rematch clause next week. Well, folks, it looks like we're going to get Kevin Owens vs. AJ Styles 1000 next week.

07:34 (IST)26 JUL 2017

Y2J locks Owens in the Walls, but he lets it go and hits Styles with a Codebreaker. It's only good for two. Jericho attempts a Lionsault, but Owens grabs his foot.

The three men exchange kicks, and Jericho thwarts AJ's attempt at a springboard manoeuvre. Owens connects with a Pop-up Powerbomb on Y2J, but the legend will not die!!!!! What a match!!!! Owens then climbs to the top rope and hits a Frogsplash, but Styles throws him out of the ring and steals the victory. We have a new Champion!!!

AJ Styles def. Chris Jericho & Kevin Owens to win the United States Championship

07:27 (IST)26 JUL 2017

Styles and Kevin Owens are in the ring, but Jericho recovers to throw Owens outside. He then connects with chops to the chest of Styles and attempts to set up superplex. However, Owens sneaks up and attempts an electric chair which is reversed into a failed attempt at the Walls of Jericho.

Another transition and Owens is thrown out of the ring. Styles connects with a springboard 450 splash on Jericho, but he can't cover. Kevin Owens thwarts AJ and covers Jericho for two.

07:23 (IST)26 JUL 2017

We're off to a brisk start. These men are pulling out all of the stops. Y2J and KO have a staredown after Styles gets thrown out of the ring. The two men start to brawl, but AJ comes back and tries to suplex Y2J, who reverses it. Jericho then gets knocked off the apron, leaving Owens and Styles alone inside the ring.

KO is dominating the former TNA standout and talking trash. He goes outside the ring and stomps Jericho. He comes back and looks to have the upper-hand on Styles, but he gets trapped in a Calf Crusher. Jericho runs in and connects with a Lionsault on Styles and Owens as we head to commercial.

AJ Styles vs. Chris Jericho vs. Kevin Owens (c) for the United States Championship

It's time for the main event, folks!!! This one's going to be a doozy. Judging from the reactions to the entrances, it is evident that the audience wants to see Y2J leave with gold around his waist.

07:08 (IST)26 JUL 2017

Shinsuke Nakamura is backstage with Renee Young. He vows to beat John Cena next week.

07:07 (IST)26 JUL 2017

07:07 (IST)26 JUL 2017

The New Day are out next, but Big E's opening line stops abruptly. It's The Usos, and they're going after the new Champions with a vengeance. Kofi Kingston, Xavier Woods and Big E are all laid out.

When we return from commercial English has Zayn in a chinlock; he tags in Kanellis who hits a clothesline in the corner for a nearfall. English gets the tag and the heels are trying to isolate Zayn. However, English misses a clothesline which allows Dillinger to get the hot-tag. The heels are getting pummelled here. Kanellis gets inflicted with the corner punches. Zayn then makes the blind tag and pins Kanellis after a Helluva Kick.

06:55 (IST)26 JUL 2017

Tye Dillinger and Aiden English kick things off. Dillinger works over the arm and tags in Zayn. The babyfaces are on top as we head to commercial.

06:54 (IST)26 JUL 2017

Sami Zayn & Tye Dillinger vs. Aiden English & Mike Kanellis ( with Maria Kanellis)
Aiden English does the singing thing before the match, and it's just as cringeworthy as ever. This is a really two of SmackDown's most underrated performers squaring off with two of the worst gimmicks in professional wrestling.

06:51 (IST)26 JUL 2017

Kevin Owens and Shane McMahon are backstage. The tension between these two men is palpable. Is WWE building towards a match between these two? Don't worry, folks. They wouldn't let a geriatric defeat one of the best guys in the company. Oh, wait.

06:44 (IST)26 JUL 2017

Just as Cena begins to leave, Daniel Bryan comes out and says that the Leader of the Cenation must earn his title shot at Summerslam. He announces that Cena will face Nakamura next week for the right to face Jinder Mahal at Summerslam. We'd be remiss if we didn't point out the fact that Bryan was apparently impressed by Cena's performance at Battleground. We have to think that Bryan was probably drinking on the job.

06:41 (IST)26 JUL 2017

John Cena congratulates Mahal for being in the best shape of his life. Cena is also apparently impressed by Mahal's persistence and desire to hold onto the WWE Championship. He then announces that he will face Mahal at Summerslam and attempt to become a 17-time World Champion.

06:36 (IST)26 JUL 2017

Mahal says that he crushed Orton's legacy at Battleground and that he was never going to lose inside a Punjabi Prison. He then demands to know who he'll face at Summerslam before going on a diatribe in Punjabi. He is promptly interrupted by John Cena. Did someone say 17-time World Champion?

06:34 (IST)26 JUL 2017

Jinder Mahal is out for a promo segment, and there is actually some sort of weird rug in the ring. If you ever needed confirmation that the WWE doesn't think beyond stereotypes, today is your lucky day.

06:29 (IST)26 JUL 2017

06:29 (IST)26 JUL 2017

After the match, Tamina yells at Lana and orders the Ravishing Russian to follow her to the back. Things aren't going too smoothly in this relationship.

06:27 (IST)26 JUL 2017

Charlotte runs rampant, but Tamina cuts her off with a kick to the face. Lana then gets tagged in, and she appears to be in a good position. However, Charlotte knocks Tamina off the apron and pins Lana after a big boot.

Charlotte & Becky Lynch def. Lana & Tamina

Charlotte & Becky Lynch vs. Lana & Tamina

Lynch and Lamina lock up, but Tamina is tagged in almost immediately. Becky goes to work on Tamina's arm and nails her with a stiff kick, but she leaves an opening for Tamina and is promptly punished. Lana the gets the tag and hits Lynch with a suplex. Chants of" you can't wrestle" break out. Tamina then enters the match, but Lynch hits an enziguiri and makes the tag to Charlotte.

Charlotte and Becky Lynch are out for a tag team match with Lana and Tamina.

06:15 (IST)26 JUL 2017

06:14 (IST)26 JUL 2017

We get a backstage segment with Naomi, Natalya and Carmella going back and forth. Does anything make you cringe more than Naomi's promos?

06:05 (IST)26 JUL 2017

In case you're still in disbelief, Nakamura just got a four-star match out of Baron Corbin. Surely, this merits some sort of award.

06:04 (IST)26 JUL 2017

Corbin piles on with more strikes and successfully hits a Deep Six. However, Nakamura kicks out at two and goes after Corbin with a vengeance. He hits a knee in the corner and follows up with Kinshasa with a win. A marked improvement from the garbage we got at Battleground.

Shinsuke Nakamura def Baron Corbin

06:01 (IST)26 JUL 2017

Baron Corbin has Nakamura in a chinlock, but he misses a clothesline and ends up on the wrong end of a striking exchange. Nakamura positions The Lone Wolf in the corner and hits a running knee. He follows up with a running knee, but it's' only good for two. The King of Strong Style then goes for a Kinshasa, but Corbin counters with a big backbreaker for two.

05:56 (IST)26 JUL 2017

05:56 (IST)26 JUL 2017

Nakamura is looking to destroy Corbin, and he delivers a flurry of strikes. He follows with a couple of knees on the apron. Nakamura takes a second to soak in the applause of the audience, but Corbin almost decapitates him with a clothesline.

05:53 (IST)26 JUL 2017

Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Baron Corbin

Shinsuke Nakamura is out for a match. One can only hope that his feud with the charisma vacuum, Baron Corbin, is mercifully short. The Lone Wolf is like quick sand, and he may just kill all of Nakamura's babyface momentum.

05:48 (IST)26 JUL 2017

05:48 (IST)26 JUL 2017

05:48 (IST)26 JUL 2017

In case you missed it, you've got to watch this opening segment, folks. Chris Jericho was in fine form, and he clicked on all cylinders.

05:45 (IST)26 JUL 2017

AJ Styles claims that he deserves a rematch first. Chris Jericho isn't impressed. The WWE's first Undisputed Champion delivers a funny anecdote and then adds Styles to the list while Kevin Owens attempts to slip away to the back. However, Shane McMahon comes out and makes a triple threat match for the United States Championship tonight!!!!!! Y2J and Styles will both have the opportunity to dethrone Owens tonight.

05:42 (IST)26 JUL 2017

Richmond is going bonkers for Y2J, who's in Ayatollah of Rock 'n' Rolla mode. Jericho says that he left SmackDown on a stretcher last time, but he intends to reclaim what's rightfully his tonight.

05:40 (IST)26 JUL 2017

AJ Styles then interrupts and demands, but the French Canadian reaffirms that he will not defend the title in this city. There is a brief moment of silence, and a familiar entrance theme begins to play. CHRIS JERICHO IS BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

05:38 (IST)26 JUL 2017

Kevin Owens says that his victory at Battleground proved that good things happen to people with good hearts. He then calls AJ Styles a thief and promises the re-introduction of the United States Championship Open Challenge, which he intends to start next week. Owens says that he doesn't intend to defend his title against a collection of "hicks" in Richmond, Virginia. Careful, Kevin, the KKK is going to be on your tail.

05:34 (IST)26 JUL 2017

The New Face of America, Kevin Owens, is out to start the show, and he struts to the ring with his belt draped across his shoulder.

05:30 (IST)26 JUL 2017

Welcome to our coverage of SmackDown Live. We hope you're ready for the fallout from Battleground 2017.

19:47 (IST)25 JUL 2017

Who will step up to challenge Jinder Mahal?
That Jinder Mahal will do anything to keep the WWE Championship is no surprise. What did shock the WWE Universe at WWE Battleground last Sunday, however, is the Punjabi behemoth who appeared in The Modern Day Maharaja’s corner, ready to help him hang onto that title.

With The Singh Brothers neutralised and Mahal reeling, Randy Orton looked to be on the verge of his 14th World Championship, until the monstrous Great Khali suddenly arrived. The 7-foot tall, 350-pound giant took matters into his own hands, grabbing Orton by the neck and keeping The Viper trapped in the bamboo cage while Mahal escaped the Punjabi Prison to retain his title.

It appears that The Great Khali’s shocking interference represented a passing of the torch to Mahal, whose third consecutive victory over Orton is now in the books. How will The Modern Day Maharaja’s reign continue? Will a new challenger step up, or will a venomous Viper be out for vengeance?

Will AJ Styles continue his pursuit of the United States Championship?
WWE Battleground had more than its share of controversy, including the United States Championship battle between AJ Styles and Kevin Owens. In managing to reverse a submission hold by The Phenomenal One, KO scored a surprise three-count to reclaim his title and, perhaps, the right to once again call himself The New Face of America.

How will The New Day’s title win change Team Blue’s Tag Team division?
The New Day continued to build on their incredible legacy at WWE Battleground, defeating The Usos in a thrilling contest to capture the SmackDown Tag Team Titles for the first time, and their third overall tandem reign in WWE.

Kofi Kingston, Xavier Woods & Big E have already broken the record for the longest Tag Team Title reign in WWE history. What are they planning to do with their latest turn as champions on Team Blue?

Who blindsided The Fashion Police?
At WWE Battleground, Breezango were hoping to close the case that has haunted them for weeks. Instead, Tyler Breeze & Fandango may have inadvertently opened the door to a world of unspeakable pain.

The Ascension seemingly admitted to everything, including trashing The Fashion Police’s station, attacking Breeze and the demise of Tully the toy horse. However, Fandango, a crafty detective for sure, saw right through Konnor & Viktor’s story, as the bruisers had taken the cops’ offer of Eddie Money tickets on the night of Tully’s brutal end. The case seemed to have gone cold once again until the lights went out in Breezango’s office. They turned back on momentarily to reveal a downed Breeze, and then the room went dark again. When the room lit back up, Fandango was seen unconscious on the floor, being dragged off by an unknown assailant.
