Fire charges are items that can either place fire when used normally or produce a fireball when shot out of a dispenser. Fire charges are made of blaze powder, coal/charcoal, and gunpowder and thus can only be crafted after the player has gone to the Nether.

Fire charges can be crafted out of one blaze powder, one coal or charcoal, and one gunpowder. They can only be crafted after the player has gone to the Nether. Fire charges also have a 46.4% chance of appearing as loot in ruined portals. Fire charges can also be obtained by bartering with Piglins.
When used, fire charges instantly light a fire where they hit, being consumed in the process. Fire charges can be used as a one-time substitute for flint and steel, or as ammunition for dispensers to produce a small fireball. It can also light TNT, nether portals, and campfires in a similar way to flint and steel.
