The flint and steel is a tool in Minecraft that can be used to light fires. The flint and steel is one of the necessary materials to enter the Nether.

A flint and steel is made out of a single iron ingot and a piece of flint. Iron ingots can be acquired by smelting iron ore in a furnace, while flint can be obtained by breaking gravel blocks. Flint and steel can also be found as loot in a Nether Fortress or a ruined portal.
