Grove in Minecraft

The grove is an uncommon mountain sub-biome in the Overworld that was added to Minecraft in the Caves & Cliffs Update Part 2. The Grove looks a lot like a snowy taiga with hills. This is one of the biomes where you can find the sides of hills covered in powder snow that you sink right into.

Description

Groves are generated when a mountain is connected to a taiga or dark forest. To blend the two main biomes, a grove will generate between them. A Grove biome consists of spruce trees which are densely populated on the slopes of the mountain. They don't have any grass blocks; instead, they have loads of snow and powder snow. Players can find pillager outposts in this biome. The abundant amount of powder snow can be problematic for exploration as you can sink into them.

Mobs Spawns

The Grove Biome has a slightly unique mob spawning system. Normally, players can find orange foxes, rabbits, and wolves naturally spawning in the biome. Technically, common passive mobs like cows, sheep, pigs, etc. are also intended to spawn in this biome, but the lack of grass block doesn't allow them to. You can encounter spiders, creepers, endermen, skeletons, zombies, and witches in groves.

Conclusion

Groves are a biome that requires very specific conditions to generate. Groves are cold biomes that are covered in snow and powder snow. This biome is generated when a mountain biome and a dark forest or taiga biome are connected. Players can find plenty of mobs in this biome, both passive and hostile.
