Mangrove trees can be found in Mangrove Swamps, they have aerial roots descending from their large canopies. They can be grown on water and land, and also can be planted in the air but their roots will touch the ground. The bark of the tree is vermillion in color.
Mangrove trees can drop/produce the following items-
Bee nest - Can be picked up off the tree with a tool with silk touch on it
Mangrove Leaves - Can be picked up with shears
Mangrove Log - Can be harvested with any tool (including hands)
Moss Carpet - Can be harvested with any tool (including hands)
Muddy Mangrove Roots - Can be harvested with any tool (including hands)
Mangrove Roots - Can be harvested with any tool (including hands)
Mangrove Planks - Created from Mangrove logs in crafting grids
Mangrove Propagule - These are generated on top of the trees and have a chance of dropping when leaves are broken
Stick - Chance of dropping when breaking leaves
Stripped Logs - Made by right-clicking a Mangrove log with an ax.
Vines - Harvested with shears
To grow your own Mangrove tree you will need a Mangrove propagule, these can be found hanging from the leaves. Propagules are basically their seeds but they grow on the tree itself rather than dropping when leaves are destroyed. You can plant the propagules in water and on land, after some time mangrove roots will grow and these will be the base of the tree.
The addition of mangrove trees makes swamp biomes more diverse, and they behave quite differently from regular trees making them an interesting new addition to the game.
