5 reasons Vince McMahon vs. Dana White would be amazing

Could Dana and Vince enter the squared circle?

As every wrestling fan has discovered at one point or another, Vince McMahon is a mad genius. The billionaire owner of WWE has ruled over the world of sports entertainment for years now, and he's done it through a mixture of determination and the ability to not give a damn what anyone else thinks about him.

Hell, he's even gone so far as to actually compete in a few matches over the years. Whether it was at WrestleMania or a common pay-per-view, Vince always puts himself on the line in order to ensure that the fans were having a good time. That meant No Disqualification matches, Hell in a Cell matches, Buried Alive matches - the whole nine yards.

Which begs the question - would he do it again?

At his advanced age Vince probably couldn't pull off some of the odd stunts he used to, but it's still worth thinking about. In terms of opponents, there's only one man we believe is capable of producing the PPV numbers necessary to warrant the contest- Dana White.

So, with that in mind, let's run down the five reasons why Vince McMahon versus Dana White would be truly amazing.

#1 Unpredictability

Who would get the last laugh?

In terms of who would win this bout, which is what many people would tune in to find out, it really is up in the air. Whilst Vince has a tendency to give himself and his loved ones the victory, it's hard to imagine that Dana would sign up to this and voluntarily lose to the man that people have compared him to on so many occasions throughout the years.

There really is no way to predict what could happen during this match, and that's the fun of professional wrestling. We'd go into the contest with relatively low expectations, and whatever the end product may be, the fact that a lot of people will be on the edge of their seat is what makes it fun.

Whether you like WWE or not, this will keep you interested for at least the first half of the match. Speaking of which, let's talk about those outside viewers.

#2 Crossover appeal

Fans would turn out in their thousands to watch the bout

Whether you're a WWE fan, a UFC fan or neither and you just want to see something cringeworthy, this is the match for you. Much like the inclusion of Donald Trump at WrestleMania 23, this kind of contest would appeal to many casual supporters of the product around the world.

Crossover appeal is one thing, but bringing in the UFC would take things to a whole new level.

You could promote the bout across both platforms, with the media tour alone being enough to send ratings and network subscriptions through the roof. There's a fine line between over-publicising something and getting the marketing just right, which is something that both these companies have a lot of experience in.

You can't get away from the facts - Dana vs. Vince is money. Onto another money-making point.

#3 Entertainment value

Vince Dana
Nobody can deny that White vs McMahon would be a spectacle

The smart thing to do here, as we all know, is to mask the lack of athletic ability with as many shenanigans as you possibly can. Throw all the bells and whistles out there, much like Triple H vs. Sting, in order to make this seem logical.

It could be entertainment gold for the crowd to witness someone like Rousey or McGregor strolling down the ramp to assist Dana, meanwhile, Shane can come and even out the odds for Vince.

Plus, if you make this a No Disqualification match, then the drama intensifies even further. If you have this last between 10 and 15 minutes, there really is no limit to how amusing this could be. WrestleMania, where this would likely be held, is the showcase for things of this nature and sometimes you need to throw everything against the wall and see what sticks.

It probably won't reach the levels of greatness that ‘Taker vs. HBK did, but still. We move onto one of the most crucial pieces of this puzzle.

#4 Building a relationship

Both men can benefit from a strong working relationship

Everyone knows that the relationship between the WWE and UFC has been growing with each passing year. Dana has spoken about Vince many times in the past, and their negotiations always seem to be relatively friendly.

Whilst Vince may not seem to entirely grasp the MMA concept, he'll have people left right and centre that are telling him there's money in a potential partnership.

Sponsorship deals, one-off appearances, commercial slots - you name it, and this brewing friendship can provide it. Dana and Vince will always put the good of their precious companies first, and you'd have to imagine that they will be making some serious money from this showdown. Whichever way you look at it, this can only be a good thing.

Speaking of a good thing, we finish on the best part of it all.

#5 Storyline

Brock Lesnar
Brock’s UFC return was full of controversy

Just wow. Think of all the juicy, glorious potential that we have in this Vince vs. Dana storyline. There's no end to the dirty laundry that these two could flaunt, dragging a number of outside Superstars into the mix. First off, they could focus solely on which form of entertainment is more effective, which leads into the eventual booking of the match at WrestleMania.

Then, have things get personal with Vince and Dana trading blows about Brock's failed drug test following UFC 200. Vince can state that Dana forced his hand, meanwhile, White can retaliate by insinuating Vince knew it would all go down this way and he'll never forgive him for tarnishing the biggest event in the company's history.

Then you've got the Ronda and McGregor situations, which would only serve to add to a potentially legendary feud.
