Paddy Pimblett is receiving heavy backlash after his angry rant against Ariel Helwani on his podcast with guest, UFC President Dana White.

Paddy Pimblett said The MMA Hour host was a biased content creator that profits off of fighters and even called him a 'rodent' for the way he conducts himself. The rant caused outrage online and even led to Helwani beginning today's edition of The MMA Hour with a fiery response of his own. Fans took to Twitter and ripped on the UFC lightweight for the remarks he made as they sided with the Canadian:

"Outside of his mental health speech post-fight, Paddy is just a low-info pr**k lol no wonder he connected with the US audience so well." (@JStackTV - Twitter)
"Ariel gave you opportunity before you were in the UFC put some respect on his name. He also is the biggest journalist in mma so he makes what he worked hard for." (@Mmazero2 - Twitter)

Helwani didn't pull any punches in his response and even played a voice message that 'The Baddy' left him with regards to possibly scheduling an interview. He didn't appreciate being asked to pay for the UFC lightweight to conduct the interview. A fan tweeted that 'The Baddy' didn't make a strong argument, writing:

"My problem is how this whole argument is framed. He's coming at it from the angle of "because now I'm a big star you need me," Which literally ignores every fighter who gets value out of being interviewed..goofy take" (@RealAirBud - Twitter)

Pimblett wasn't asked any questions about the remarks during his media availbility today, but that could possibly be something that changes after his fight on Saturday.

Who is Paddy Pimblett fighting at UFC 282?

Paddy Pimblett will be fighting Jared Gordon in the co-main event this Saturday at UFC 282.

Gordon is coming off a win against Leonardo Santos at UFC 278, which saw him earn a unanimous decision after all three judges scored the bout 30-27 in his favor. He is an experienced fighter with a 19-5 MMA record and has fought in the UFC since 2017. There could be a lot at stake as the winner could move into UFC lightweight rankings.

With Jiri Prochazka being forced out of the event due to injury, Jan Blachowicz vs. Magomed Ankalaev was moved into the main event slot, while 'The Baddy' vs. 'Flash' moved to the co-main event.
