After taking in the action from his cageside seat, Anatoly Malykhin shared a moment with Chingiz Allazov inside the circle following the main event of ONE Fight Night 6 on Prime Video.

ONE’s first event of the year on January 13 was headlined by the long-awaited featherweight kickboxing world championship clash between Allazov and Superbon Singha Mawynn.

After winning the ONE Featherweight Kickboxing World Grand Prix in 2022, Chingiz Allazov had to wait nearly a year for a shot at the pound-for-pound great Superbon's world title.

In a devastating display, Allazov shocked the Impact Arena in Bangkok by knocking out the Thai superstar in two rounds to become the new ONE featherweight kickboxing world champion.

One man who wasn’t surprised by his performance was Anatoly Malykhin. Having watched ‘Chinga’ prepare at Tiger Muay Thai, he knew that Allazov would get the job done in emphatic fashion.

In an interview with ONE Championship, Malykhin spoke about the moment that he shared with the newly crowned world champion in the circle once the fight had ended:

“Chingiz and Andrei Gridin, his coach, invited me into the circle, and I had the honor of giving him a hug. I, of course, was very pleased that they invited me into the circle to share this great happiness with them.”

Fabricio Andrade says Arjan Bhullar knows how "dangerous" Anatoly Malykhin really is

The next time Anatoly Malykhin steps inside the circle, it will be for a fight that his friend and teammate Fabricio Andrade is very excited for.

The two top-level strikers have supported each other's recent quests for world championships and as Andrade prepares for his rematch with John Lineker, his much larger friend also has a huge fight on the horizon.

Scheduled for ONE Fight Night 8 on March 24, the ONE interim heavyweight world champion will finally face the returning ONE heavyweight world title holder Arjan Bhullar.

Due to his injuries, Bhullar has been inactive since winning the world championship by defeating Brandon Vera in May 2021.

In his absence, Malykhin has torn right through the rest of the division, as well as defeated Reinier de Ridder to become the ONE light heavyweight world champion.

In an interview with The MMA Superfan, Fabricio Andrade spoke about how he shares the excitement of all the fans in finally getting to see the match-up:

“I'm very excited about this one. They've been talking for a while. You can see what is happening, Arjan knows how dangerous Anatoly is.”
