UFC great Demetrious Johnson used to stream on Twitch before moving to YouTube for live gaming streams. 'Mighty Mouse' stated on JRE that he made the move to YouTube from Twitch because of the skewed monetization model between 'hot tub streams' and gaming channels.

Furthermore, Johnson was also put off by the streaming platform's gambling controversy. The former UFC flyweight champion stated that he can only monetize his content on Twitch when he's live on the platform, whereas he doesn't face the same issue with YouTube.

Johnson also told Joe Rogan that YouTube's algorithm is much better than that of Twitch.

Former UFC champ Demetrious Johnson's spectacular loss and comeback in ONE Championship

'Mighty Mouse' made the move to ONE Championship in a trade between the Singapore-based martial arts promotion and the UFC, where the former flyweight champion was traded for Ben Askren.

Johnson made his ONE Championship debut against Yuya Wakamatsu in March 2019. Following two more wins, Johnson faced then-flyweight champion Adriano Moraes at ONE on TNT 1 in April 2021. He lost the bout via knockout due to a grounded knee and punches in the second round. The loss to Moraes marked the first KO loss of Johnson's entire career.

This past August, Johnson exacted revenge against Adriano Moraes in a rematch for the ONE flyweight championship. After an intense back and forth between both fighters, Demetrious Johnson was able to drop Moraes and land a spectacular flying knee, which knocked the Brazilian fighter out cold.
