The heart of the matter

The fight began with Walker staying loose on his feet in a wide Karate stance. Khalil opened his account by landing a couple of leg kicks, which failed to have much effect on the Brazilian.

This fight saw not more than the first round as Walker landed a precisely timed leg kick followed by punches and knees in the clinch position.

Khalil attempted to utilize the overhooks to secure a decent grasp on Walker but was unsuccessful in his venture. Walker then wasted little to no time by dropping a merciless elbow on Khalil that sent him sinking to the bottom.

Once Khalil was on the ground, Walker capitalised on the former's vulnerable position and earned the win by finishing off with a series of punches to the face.

What's next?

Johnny Walker shows immense potential and could pose to be a serious problem for the fellow fighters in the 205-pound division.
