Colby Covington has never been shy of ruffling a few feathers in the world of MMA, and it seems that even UFC President Dana White is not safe from the brutally honest views of the UFC welterweight contender.
During a recent conversation with MMA Fighting, Covington addressed his complicated relationship with Dana and revealed his bold belief that White is actually afraid of him...
“The only time I talked to him was right before the press conference before I went on stage I was like ‘hey Dana, how you doing?’ and you could tell he was a little afraid of me...I don’t have anything nice to say about him and I know he has nothing nice to say about me ever.”
Publicly speaking out against Dana White doesn't seem like the wisest move from a fighter who is looking to ascend to the very top of the UFC welterweight division. It is well known that White is capable of holding a grudge against those who choose to go against him.
As things stand, Covington is in line for a title shot against Kamaru Usman later this month at UFC 245 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
