Ronaldo 'Jacare' Souza's last fight was a far cry from his previous encounters inside the Octagon.

The veteran Brazilian lost to Jan Blachowicz in a 5-round bore-fest that quite possibly could take the honors of being the worst UFC fight of 2019.

Jacare spoke to Guilherme Cruz of MMAFighting and gave an honest breakdown of his recent loss in Sao Paulo. The former Strikeforce Middleweight Champion said that his fight against Blachowicz was boring but added that such things do take place at times.

He expected Blachowicz to be more aggressive in the fight but that never happened. The lack of risks taken by both fighters in the main event contest hampered the quality of the bout to such a drastic extent that the Brazilian fans booed one of their own legends.

“Everybody expected (Blachowicz) to go there and kill me. I thought he would come more aggressive and try to knock me out, but he didn’t take many risks to avoid going to the ground. The result wasn’t what we expected, the fight was boring, but that happens sometimes.

The loss hasn't affected Jacare's motivation to fight, however, as the 39-year-old is excited to get back inside the Octagon again.

Jacare is on a 2-fight losing streak and he thought a move up to the Light Heavyweight division would change his fortunes. However, he failed in his LHW debut and is now contemplating going back to the Middleweight division for his next fight.

“My manager and my team are talking which weight class I’ll fight next, so there’s a lot going on here right now. We’ll make a decision really soon on what’s best for us. We’re looking at staying at 205 or going back to 185."
“I’m feeling happy again. I haven’t been this excited in a long time. Even though I lost, I’m excited. Let’s go for the next one." H/t Credit: MMAFighting
