It has been confirmed by James Gallagher that Conor McGregor has returned to full training as he prepares for a return to MMA early next year.

Ahead of Bellator's London event this weekend, Gallagher was interviewed by Metro and revealed the following information about McGregor's training:

‘We’ve had real issues with bus loads of people coming into the gym when we’re training. Now if you’re asking me is Conor back training, yes he is. It doesn’t matter if he’s there or not, people are coming in every day.'

Gallagher's statement comes after Coach John Kavanagh decided to close the SBG complex to the public for the foreseeable future, fueling speculation that McGregor was upping his training regime.

McGregor has publicly stated that he intends to return to action in the UFC on January 18, 2020, with Donald Cerrone currently the most likely to face the Irishman. However, Dana White has remained insistent that a deal to bring McGregor back in January is far from done.

It is expected that Gallagher will be joining McGregor in full training in the coming weeks, as he has been booked to headline Bellator's next show in his native Dublin against Cal Ellenor in February 2020.
