UFC's color commentator Joe Rogan was recently in conversation with Firas Zahabi, who is the new head coach of Lightweight sensation Kevin Lee. During the conversation, the pair discussed Lee's recent win over Gregor Gillespie with Zahabi claiming that the former is definitely capable of winning the world title in UFC.

Rogan, who was able to call Lee's head kick knockout at UFC 244, has now claimed that 'The Motown Phenom' is still not in his prime in mixed martial arts and praised him for taking up a very high-risk fight in the form of Gregor Gillespie at the last UFC pay-per-view.

Joe Rogan says Kevin Lee is not in his prime yet

While conversing with Firas Zahabi on a recent edition of The Joe Rogan Experience, the UFC's color commentator said that still being in his 20s, Kevin Lee is not even in his prime yet and has already experienced failures inside the Octagon that has eventually turned into a motivating force for 'The Motown Phenom'. He just turned 27,” Rogan pointed out. “He’s f**king not even in his prime. He’s also experienced failure, and experienced fights where he didn’t live up to his potential. I think that ultimately will be a motivating force, because we see what he can do when he’s really focused.”

What's next for Kevin Lee?

As of now, Kevin Lee doesn't have a fight booked in the UFC, however, expect him to make his return to the Octagon in 2020 for some more explosive fights.
