At UFC 241, Nate Diaz made his return to the promotion after a hiatus of almost three years and upon his return to the Octagon, Diaz defeated former UFC Lightweight Champion, Anthony Pettis, via split decision.

Speaking to the MMA media at the UFC 241 post-fight press conference, Diaz claimed that he is currently open to a trilogy fight against Conor McGregor after having defeated him at UFC 196 but losing the rematch at UFC 202. In addition to it, Diaz also did claim (via MMA Junkie) that as of now, it is up to the UFC to book a potential third fight between Diaz and McGregor.

“If that’s something that works into the schedule. I’m going to fight the baddest dudes, the biggest, baddest shows that people want to see. That’s what I want to see, that’s what I want to do, so it’s up to everybody that’s involved in that. If they want it, they’re going to call me and tell me they want it.”

Conor McGregor, on the other hand, continues to find himself in legal trouble after hitting an elderly man at a Dublin pub.

Amanda Nunes is currently on the back off four-fight successive title defenses in the UFC Women's Bantamweight Division. Nunes, in her last bout, defeated Holly Holm at UFC 239 and for her next title defense, The Lioness will put her strap on the line against Germaine de Randamie at UFC 245.

Having made her return to the Women's Bantamweight Division, Germaine de Randamie is coming off major victories over Raquel Pennington and Aspen Ladd for her last two outings in the Octagon. For her recent performances in the Octagon, de Randamie has been awarded a title shot by the UFC, as the promotion took to their official Twitter handle and confirmed the title bout.

UFC 245 takes place at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada on the 14th of December, 2019. So far only one other fight has been confirmed for the event, as Jessica Eye is set to head-to-head against Viviane Araújo.

On the recent edition of The Ariel Helwani Show, WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle made a guest appearance and during the conversation, Angle was asked about a potential UFC return of his WWE colleague Brock Lesnar.

In response to Helwani's question, Angle claimed that the only fight that interests Lesnar as of now is a bout against current UFC Light Heavyweight Champion, Jon Jones.

Hours after the interview, Jones took to his official Twitter handle and responded to Lesnar in a very controversial fashion, to say the least. Jones tweeted out saying that Lesnar is way too slow for him and if the two men ever lock horns in the Octagon, then Jones would embarrass the former UFC Heavyweight Champion.

As of the time of writing, Brock Lesnar still remains a part of the WWE roster, whereas, Jones is coming off a successful title defence against Thiago Santos from UFC 239.
