Indonesia to build another international circuit for Moto GP Grand Prix 2017

The Indonesian government is to construct another circuit that is able to facilitate international motorsports event, such as Moto GP Grand Prix, a minister said here on Thursday.

Indonesian Minister for Agrarian and Spatial Planning Fery Mursyidan Baldan disclosed that the circuit will be established on the outskirts of capital Jakata, reports Xinhua.

"The government will build a circuit. We will prepare land for the circuit probably near Jakarta," Fery said at the ministry of agrarian and spatial planning.

He said that the circuit will be established at about 15 hectares land, which is easy to access.

The construction of the event is expected to be completed next year and be able to use in 2018, Minister Fery disclosed.

"We target that it can be used in 2018," he said.

Other supportive facilities, such as hotel, will be also built near the sport facility, said Fery.

Indonesia is to host the Asian Games in 2018 and the Indonesian Moto GP Grand Prix 2017 and the government has vowed to hold the two international sport events successfully.
