NASCAR bumps up Bank of America 500 start time due to threat of rain
The start time at Charlotte Motor Speedway has been moved from 2:00 p.m. ET up to 1:00 p.m. ET due to the threat of inclement weather.
NASCAR isn't taking any chances with Mother Nature.
The start time of Sundayâ€™s NASCAR Monster Energy Cup Series Bank of America 500 at Charlotte Motor SpeedwayÂ has been moved from 2:00 p.m. ETÂ up to 1:00 p.m. ET due to the threat of inclement weather.
According to NASCAR's track releaseÂ issued Saturday, the drivers meeting will take place at 11 a.m. ET before introductions at 12:20 p.m. ET. The green flag isÂ scheduled for 1:10 p.m. ET.
NASCAR's Round of 12 playoffs kick offÂ Sunday, withÂ Denny Hamlin starting from the pole and Joe Gibbs Racing teammate Matt Kenseth starting alongside him on the front row.
