Agira Ryudoin’s Background

Very little is known about his childhood and Agira Ryudoin’s past as his heritage is still shrouded in mystery. Due to his limited appearances in the series, close to nothing is known about his lineage or background other than the fact that he was the father of Jako, Rokkaku and Gensho. He had a battle with Might Guy, Hidden Leaf's Noble Green Beast, at some time in his lifetime, and lost. He later passed away from the wounds he sustained during that fight. While attempting to exact revenge on Might Guy, his kids came to the realization that they had misunderstood their father.

This little detail about his life is the only information about Agira Ryudoin that is available to the fans of the series. Agira is just a part of the Naruto anime and does not appear or receive any mentions in the Naruto series manga, making him a non-canon character in the series.

Agira Ryudoin’s Personality

Due to his lack of appearance in the series and any related information, almost nothing is known about Agira Ryudoin’s personality. Based on his limited role and what Might Guy mentioned about him, it can be deduced that Agira was a wonderful, honorable man, as was obvious from his decision to use his taijutsu to fight Guy rather than his wooden puppets and by his polite request for another go after he lost in their battle. Agira wanted a rematch until his death, even though he did not live to see it happen. Might Guy was quite fond of him due to Agira's polite and honorable nature and always respected him, considering him a worthy opponent.

Agira Ryudoin’s Appearance

Agira was a rather tall man. Like his eldest son, he had white shoulder-length hair that parted around his face, but Agira's fringes were shorter. He was seen dressed in a long coat and shirt, dark fingerless gloves that reached his elbow, long leggings, and conventional shinobi sandals. His forehead was covered with a tattoo-like pattern of three tomoe that resembled the Cursed Seal of Heaven and his face was somewhat wrinkled which may be an indication of his advanced age or his illness.

Agira Ryudoin’s Abilities

Based on the minimal facts at hand, Agira was skilled in the Wooden Puppet Manipulation Technique and could call and manipulate a huge number of puppets at once. His ability to compete against Might Guy, a well-known Taijutsu master, was equally amazing. An achievement in itself, he managed to coerce Guy into opening at least three of the Eight Gates in order to win. He allegedly practiced the Japanese martial art of Kenpo, in which joint locks, pressure points, and fist punches are largely employed for self-defense.

Unfortunately, due to his minimal appearance in the anime, the full extent of Agira’s abilities is a mystery on its own.
