The Akimichi Clan is a clan belonging to the Hidden Leaf Village and they are considered to be one of the most respected clans of the Hidden Leaf Village. Members of the Akimichi Clan possess the ability to manipulate their body size and weight and they utilize their Yang Release to perform this feat.

The Akimichi Clan is a well-respected clan of the Hidden Leaf Village. They are skilled in Body Weight and Size Manipulation Techniques.
Members of this clan possess great physical strength and high proportions of chakra. They also possess the ability to convert calories into chakra. They replenish their chakra by eating a lot and gaining fat and then converting those excess calories into chakra. Akimichi clan members have also used Three Coloured Pills to convert excess fat into chakra when standard means are not enough. However, the use of these pills comes at a cost and affects users’ health.
The Akimichi Clan has a long-standing and special bond with the Nara Clan and YamanakaClan of the Hidden Leaf. The members of these three clans have formed trios for generations. The trios of these three clans are known as the Ino-Shika-Cho trios.
It is a long-standing tradition that whenever the generation heads of these three clans are promoted to the rank of Chunin, a member of the Sarutobi Clan will provide them with special earrings. This symbolizes the unity between the three clans and that they are considered adults in the eyes of their respective clans.
Chozo Akimichi is a jonin of Hidden Leaf Village’s Akimichi Clan. He is the Fifteenth Head of the Akmichi Clan. In the Fourth Great Ninja War, he was part of the First Division and battled against reanimated Asuma Sarutobi and Dan.
Choji Akimichi is a shinobi from the Hidden Leaf Village and the Sixteenth Head of the Akimichi Clan. He is a former member of TeamAsuma and Ino-Shika-Cho trio alongside ShikamaruNara and InoYamanaka. Although he is sensitive about his weight, he is dedicated to his friends and family. He married Karui of the Hidden Cloud Village and became the father of Chocho Akimichi, their daughter.
Chocho Akimichi is a kunoichi of Hidden Leaf and a member of the Akimichi Clan. She is the daughter of Choji Akimichi, the current head of the clan. She is a member of Team 10 in Boruto: Naruto Next Generations and forms the Ino-Shika-Cho trio alongside InojinYamanaka and ShikadaiNara.
