Amaru in Naruto

Amaru has been an orphan since a young age, but after following Shinno she became attached to him and learned medicine from him. Shinno and Amaru helped the Konohagakure villagers when the Land of Sky shinobi attacked the village. Amaru entered the hospital, where Naruto Uzumaki and Hinata Hyuga carried some injured civilians to Sakura Haruno so that she could treat them further. Amaru asked Naruto where Shinno was as their village was in trouble, but soon she fainted. When she woke up, Shinno was there with Naruto.

After rescuing the injured villagers, Naruto, Hinata, and Sakura escorted Shinno and Amaru to their village to rescue them. While going back to the Land of the Sky, Naruto and Amaru fell into the river, and one poisonous fish bit Naruto. Amaru saved Naruto with her medical skills.

When they reached Amaru’s village, it was already destroyed by the Land of the Sky shinobi, which shocked Amaru and she accidentally put a foot in a trap. Shinno saved her from getting killed as he came forward to take all the Kunai and faked a death. When Amaru cried, Zero Tails, who was imprisoned in the Land of the Sky, took over Amaru's body because of the grief and negative emotions, which attracted the dark chakra of Zero Tails.

The Zero Tails then attacked Naruto and Sakura and held Naruto to take his negative emotions out, which made Naruto turn into Nine-Tailed Beast Version 2 Mode. Then, Naruto remembered his master and snapped out of the Version 2 Mode. Naruto said things about Shinno to Amaru, which woke her up, and then the Zero Tails disappeared.

After that, Naruto and Amaru went into the Ancor Vantian (Flying Fortress) and found out that it was Shinno who was behind all these plans. Amaru’s joy changed into sorrow when she understood everything. Because of her negative emotion, Shinno used it, but Naruto told Amaru that his practice would not go in vain and she could help many injured and sick people, which made her feel better. Then she went to save Hinata and the other villagers.

After Naruto and Sasuke defeated Shinno and Zero Tails, the Ancor Vantian started to crumble, and then Hinata and Amaru, with the other villagers, escaped in the smaller ship. When she saw Naruto alone going down with the fallen ship, she used the Land of the Sky flying machine and tried to catch him but was not able to catch Naruto. They were falling down when Jiraiya and Gamabunta saved them.

Amaru was in love with Shinno who cured her of a disease in childhood. She is determined with her goal to become a doctor. She is caring and always looks out for injured people. Amaru is also proud of her skills and used to admire Shinno a lot before his betrayal.

Amaru stayed as a tomboy and freaked out when Naruto came close to her face, but later she was ready to sacrifice herself with Naruto when they were falling from the sky.

Amaru wears a cream-colored sleeveless jacket and inside it, she wears blue long sleeves. She used to wear a black bandana and have reddish-brown medium-length hair and a small mole just below her left eye. Her skin is tanned and she wears green shorts with Shinobi sandals.

She is quick even though she is not a shinobi, and she knows how to medically treat someone as she treated Naruto when he was bitten by poisonous fish. She keeps a scalpel with herself to use in minor surgeries.
