Baku (Anbu) is a fictional character in the popular manga and its anime adaptation, the Naruto series, written and illustrated by Masashi Kishimoto.

Baku is a character in the Naruto series that first appeared in the Naruto Shippuden Episode 140 titled, “Fate.” He was an Anbu-ranked shinobi of Konohagakure, popularly known as the Village Hidden in the Leaves. Based on the information available, he is presumed deceased.

Very little is known about his childhood as Baku’s past is still shrouded in mystery. Baku was a member of Konoha’s Anbu unit and thus as a part of the Anbu, Baku’s real identity is unknown. Due to his limited appearances in the series, close to nothing is known about his lineage or background other than the fact that he was one of Konoha’s finest shinobi and a member of Anbu Black Ops.
Baku first appeared in Naruto Shippuden Episode 140. He was introduced as an Anbu Black Ops shinobi in the reign of the Third Hokage, Hiruzen Sarutobi. Along with other Anbu units, Baku was assigned to keep watch on the Uchiha clan and track their movements.
Baku has not appeared since this incident; thus, his absence makes it impossible to say whether he is dead or alive. He is currently assumed to be dead unless any information surfaces indicating otherwise.
Due to his lack of appearance in the series and any related information, almost nothing is known about Baku’s personality. From his status and limited appearance, it can be deduced that Baku is a responsible adult. Judging from his Anbu status, he is sure to be a reliable shinobi dedicated to serving and protecting his village, Konoha.
Baku was a member of Anbu Black Ops so his real identity was kept a secret. In his Anbu attire, Baku wore a standard black hooded robe. To hide his identity, he wore a white mask with red patterns around the mask’s eyeholes.
Baku was never seen unleashing his abilities in the Naruto series. Judging from his Anbu status, it is safe to say that he was a remarkable shinobi with formidable strength and remarkable abilities. It is stated that Baku had piercing eyes and was able to perceive everything.
