Curtain Village is the capital of the Land of Silence. It is regarded as a lawless region because it is the center of the black market. The Curtain Village is a poor city. It is filled with poverty and crime to the brim. It is so bad that many of its former shinobi had to resort to selling their headbands, a symbol of their shinobi status, in exchange for some money to survive.
Despite this, there are still some people who belong to the nobility. Sakuya is the last known to reside in Fushu Castle at the center of the Curtain Village. Due to their noble status, they are able to afford a lavish lifestyle and get their hands on anything they desire. After Sakuya’s demise, the poor inhabitants swiftly ransacked and pillaged the castle, after which Deepa came to investigate and killed all of them.
Because of its lawless nature and the presence of the black market, the Curtain Village is swarmed with criminals, some of whom are notorious enough to get their names mentioned in Konohagakure’s (Village Hidden in the Leaves’) Bingo Book.
