Dokku in Naruto

When his village was attacked, Dokku was the one who found Miina and Leo trapped in their own house and rescued them. He told Miina to jump and reassured her, saying that he would catch her and wouldn't let go. Miina was hesitant, but gave in and jumped. After rescuing Leo as well, he carried both of them out of the village and then parted with them so that he could help the other villagers. Before he left them, he gave Miina his jacket and told them to go to the Hacho Village and ask for help. He managed to rescue three other children, Sora, Lando and Faz but was greatly wounded during the night which resulted in him using crutches later on. When he went to the Hacho Village he met up with Miina and Leo and they embraced each other in a happy hug.

When they arrived in Hacho Village, they started to live with Shiseru. One day when Dokku, Miina and Sora went out to buy food, a fight broke out between Leo and Faz. Miina stopped the fight by playing the wooden sticcado. When they met Naruto Uzumaki and Dokku saw his forehead protector, he thought that they were the enemies who destroyed their village and told everyone to run away. As they were running, they ran over the fragile bridge and fell down. As they were about to hit the ground, Naruto saved them with the help of his Shadow clones. Dokku later on apologized to Naruto and Sakura Haruno.

After dinner, while everyone was taking a bath, Dokku told Naruto about his past and how he wished that he could have more power to help more people. Later, when he spoke to Yamato and Sai regarding the massacre, it reminded him that he was nearly killed by Hayate. When he met with the village head who gave him two bars for unknown reasons, he was silent about that part for a long time. He and Shiseru were seen holding hands when the kids were asleep.

He went with the kids the next day to the beach and then went with Shiseru to get drinks. While they were going home, Lando and Miina happily cling to him. He was quite shocked when Shiseru slapped Miina because she was bothering Naruto, and calmed her down. When Disonasu appears with the village head, Dokku and the village head talk about the bars they had exchanged when Miina goes to her grandfather and reveals that he was reincarnated. As the group was fleeing, Miina tries to drive out the snakes Naruto was infected with while Dokku tries to pull her back. He is shocked when Miina is able to drive out the snakes from Naruto and make a copy of his version 2 jinchuriki form.

As Konoha reinforcements arrive, Dokku and his family try to flee the battlefield. When they reach far away, Miina begs Dokku to rescue Naruto who was lying unconscious. Dokku leaves the kids with Shiseru and goes to rescue Naruto. When he is rescuing Naruto, a clone is about to trample both of them, when Kabuto saves them and stores them in a snake.

Dokku and Naruto wake up in an underground hall of Tonika village. Dokku is unsuccessful in opening the entrance and he helps Naruto by freeing him from the ropes which turn out to be snakes, which bite Dokku when he tries to remove them again. Dokku feels helpless as he was unable to stop Naruto from hating himself. Kurama shouts at him through Naruto, which scares him. After he remembers his talk with Shiseru about adopting the kids, he tries again to stop Kurama's influence over Naruto and asks him where he gets his strength from. This leads Naruto to remember his true goals and motivates him to become stronger and stop Kurama's influence.

Kabuto reappears with two reincarnated ninjas and Disonasu who reveals that he was responsible for the massacre of Dokku's village. Dokku asked Disonasu if he was aware of the power that he was carrying with him. Disonasu then pulls out a scroll and summons a mysterious light from it which shocks Dokku.

Disonasu confessed that he was the one who ordered the massacre of Tonika village. Dokku tried to attack him but was stopped by Inabi Uchiha and Taki. Disonasu toys with him and tries to learn where the last pieces of Saezuri were located. When Kabuto reveals that the children of Tonika Village have arrived, Dokku tells Disonasu not to lay a hand on them. He then runs to the children and scolds them for being reckless. After they reunite with Shiseru and try to flee, they're stopped by lightning caused by Ama no Hoko.

Dokku claims to be able to use the Saezuri to stop Ama no Hoko and wants to go alone, but Shiseru says that she'll accompany him. The two say their goodbyes to the children and tell them to go on without them in case they don't make it back alive. Saying this, they go towards the Ama no Hoko.

On their way, Dokku proposes to Shiseru to marry him if they both survive, to which Shiseru agrees. After they reach the Saezuri, Dokku starts to activate it but the two are disrupted by the fight between Naruto and his clone. After nearly being hit by a giant laser beam, Shiseru is about to fall down and she barely manages to catch Dokku's hand. Their past flashbacks happen and she tells Dokku that he has to let her go in order to use Saezuri to put an end to the whole story. After Dokku refuses, Shiseru thanks him for all he did for her and frees herself from his grip, committing suicide. She was then saved by Naruto who tells Dokku to finally stop the Ama no Hoko. After the family happily reunites, they all thank Naruto for what all he did for them.

Dokku is brave and dutiful. He does not hesitate to risk his own life to save others. He is also very fond and caring about the children that he rescued who in return love him a lot. He feels regret every time he fails to save someone and feels regret about the day he failed to rescue Shiseru as a kid. This incident made him have low self esteem and he viewed himself as weak. He was on the verge of tears as he wasn't able to rescue more villages when his village was attacked.

Dokku is 36 years old. He is a portly man with short brown hair and a receding hairline. He wears square framed glasses, has a short mustache and a pointed beard. He has the Tonika Village's militia tattoo on his right hand. When he was younger he was quite slim and had large scars on his body. He wears casual clothes that consist of a light yellow T-shirt, navy blue pants and brown cross. He used to wear a brown sleeveless jacket which he gave to Miina.
