Due to lack of information, not much is known about the founding or history of the village. This unnamed village is concealed by unique trees, covering the village in magnetic force which interfere with a person's chakra flow, creating a genjutsu-like effect. It shields the village from outsiders. Due to the presence of these trees, this village is referred to as the Genjutsu Tree Village.
In the Past Arc: The Locus of Konoha, Jiraiya and Naruto Uzumaki traveled to the Genjutsu Tree Village. Jiraiya and Naruto came to the village to help Naruto develop his chakra control so that he would be able to either use a lot of chakra to escape genjutsu or be able to reject them. To mitigate the genjutsu-like effects and maintain harmony in their village, villagers use Chilli Pepper Bombs to counter the genjutsu-like effects.
Jiraiya and Naruto came across Kandachi, a rogue ninja from Amegakure (Village Hidden in the Rain), along with his allies. Kandachi used to be the right-hand man of Hanzo the Salamander. After Pain eliminated Hanzo, Kandachi fled Amegakure and took over the Genjutsu Tree Village. Tanishi, a little boy from the Genjutsu Tree Village, assisted Naruto and Jiraiya in defeating Kandachi and his allies.
