Isshiki Otsutsuki in Naruto

Many decades ago, Isshiki Otsutsuki and Kaguya Otsutsuki came on earth to plant a tree to harvest Chakra Fruit. Kaguya was supposed to sacrifice for the Chakra Fruit because she was the lower-ranked Otsutuki. Still, she turned on Isshiki instead, killing Isshiki's lower half and leaving Isshiki in critical condition.

In order to survive his injury, Jigen shranks himself to enter his body. Realizing that he lacked the strength to implant the Kama on him, he started getting nutrients from the body. Isshiki eventually gained control over Jigen's entire body and implanted the Kama upon his host.

Isshiki Otsutsuki then formed a group name Kara and invited some skilled people to join his group and execute his plan. Isshiki was forced to use Jigen as the Ten-Tails sacrifice to cause it to bloom into a God Tree because Kaguya's betrayal and eventual sealing left him all alone.

He decided against reviving himself through Jigen because his body would quickly expire. After all, it couldn't support his chakra. Instead, he chose to turn Jigen's body as much as possible into an Otsutsuki that could be given to the Ten-Tails for its development. So Isshiki started getting ready for a new vessel to install another Kama seal after feeding Jigen and himself to the beast with this intention.

Isshiki Otsutsuki Adopted Kawaki

After Delta investigated the boy's blood as a potential candidate to be a vessel in the anime, Isshiki discovered Kawaki. Jigen went to Kawaki's violent father and offered him a huge amount of cash to buy the boy for his purposes. Isshiki introduced Jigen to the boy as his new father after gaining custody of him.

The two sought to transfer the Kama to Kawaki, Code, and thirteen other boys in an experiment with the aid of Amado, who at one point modified Isshiki's vessel with Scientific Ninja Tools. Kawaki was the only one to succeed while the other thirteen were lost, and Code only obtained an incomplete White Kama.

Kawaki was put through hard training to master the Kama despite Isshiki's promises of his safety, and the man would frequently scold him for being just used as a vessel, beating the youngster anytime he questioned him. In the meantime, Code was chosen to be his most devoted servant.

At one point, Amado presented to him a number of cyborgs he had modified to covertly overthrow Jigen, pretending they were useful for Kara's plans. However, when he realized that the cyborgs' combat prowess was superior to Jigen's, he gave Amado the order to get rid of the cyborgs but did not realize that Boro had actually hidden them all within his team.

Isshiki held a conference with the Inners and told them that an Outer had set one of their facilities in Amegakure on fire. Isshiki had a secret meeting with Victor when an attempt to cultivate another God Tree failed, and Victor blamed Deepa. Isshiki let Victor free with a warning while expressing doubt about his assertion.

Ao Arc

Isshiki got in touch with Amado to talk about the growth of Kawaki because she knew that he had already entered Phase 3 of their plans. Although technically accurate, Amado claimed that the data was still insufficient to move on to Phase 3.

Isshiki made the decision to move Kawaki for a trial run and he then showed up and offered the transfer of his brand-new stealth blimp. Following, Kawaki's easy transition onto the airship, Isshiki was informed of a failure that led to the blimp's crash.

In a conference with the other Kara members to discuss the serious situation, Koji was assigned to capture Kawaki. Isshiki declared their team must rescue the vessel at all costs as he dispelled the genjutsu. In the anime, Isshiki had Deepa's body found, and Amado's brain restored to discover the truth of Victor's betrayal since he did not believe Victor's claim that Deepa was responsible for the accident in the Land of Valleys.

Isshiki had Koji Kashin kill Victor and order Amado to dispose of Deepa because she was no longer needed as a liability. He stated his thoughts that the blimp crash wasn't Victor's fault but rather that a third party used Victor's defection to hide their own acts during a physical examination of Jigen's body by Amado. Amado promised to look into it.

Kawaki Arc

Isshiki expressed her displeasure at how long it took to retrieve Kawaki while eating with Delta, and Isshiki agreed to let her participate in the mission under the condition that she follow Koji's rules. When Isshiki asked what Koji was doing later, after the Seventh Hokage had soundly defeated Delta, she revealed that he had been delaying the retrieval of Kawaki in order to study Boruto.

That was after they learnt that the boy had acquired his own Kama. Jigen smirked at this turn of events and concluded that Momoshiki was responsible. Later, he teleported himself to the universe where a Ten-Tail was present and casually started to talk with it.

After failing to consume his vessel and remarking that it was too soon for him to finish it, Isshiki uses his Kama to absorb its chakra. Isshiki had plans to see Boruto and Kawaki after that.

Isshiki Met Naruto Uzumaki

Jigen sent Naruto to another dimension with the intention of leaving him there to die while attempting to kidnap Kawaki from the Uzumaki family, but Sasuke attacked Jigen. Jigen was pushed back throughout the ongoing battle and eventually turned to using his Kama to manifest Isshiki's personality fully.

Isshiki was frustrated as he paralyzed Naruto and Sasuke with enormous black rods and restated his desperate wish to possess Kawaki. As he swiftly overwhelmed Naruto and Sasuke, pummeling them into submission, Jigen's body started to break down.

Isshiki intended to kill Sasuke since he could escape at any time and seal Naruto and Kurama inside the crater that served as their battleground. This was because he could not use the necessary amount of power to kill Naruto because Jigen was weak. Isshiki promised to murder Naruto if he escaped as Isshiki successfully locked Naruto inside the coffin, which he shrank to normal size.

Isshiki ignored Naruto's comments and revealed that he was never interested in him, as Kurama remarked, and that he was after Boruto for his Kama. Isshiki cursed Jigen's weakness as a vessel before teleporting away. Isshiki returned to Kara's headquarters and had Amado cure Jigen's body, telling the scientist that it would take two days for him to recover fully.

Excited by Kawaki's Kama's development, he thought it was the result of exposure to Boruto's own mark. Jigen was convinced that as a result, the two of them would develop into "perfect" tsutsuki and create a God Tree that would devour the entire earth. He also assured Amado that everyone would receive their promises.

He later received a report from Code, whom he had assigned to watch over the Ten-Tails, even though he had not yet recovered even 10% of his original power. Delta informed him that the Hokage had escaped and that someone had assassinated Boro.

He gave her the task of destroying Boro's Space-Time Gate-containing cult base. Later, Koji approached Isshiki and requested a report from him. Koji questioned why he was given the mission since Isshiki could have teleported to his place after informing Kawaki that he wasn't retrieved. Isshiki justified his conduct by claiming that Koji and Amado crashed the airship transporting Kawaki so that he might escape.

Koji’s surprise attack on Isshiki

Koji assaulted Jigen after questioning his motivations, which resulted in their battle and Isshiki learning that Koji meant to kill Jigen. Isshiki kept fending off Koji's different attacks as he declared that the latter was nothing more than a tool after committing himself so completely to one objective.

Isshiki fully released his Kama as Koji began his assault, but ultimately he managed to catch Jigen off guard by summoning a massive wall of flames. Koji said that he summoned naturally occurring flames without chakra, meaning that the mark was powerless before it as the fire destroyed Jigen, and he failed to absorb them.

Jigen attempted to extinguish the flames but could not do it for very long because of his body's capabilities. So Isshiki was forced to undergo a complete reincarnation using Jigen as an imperfect vessel because Jigen's body had died and Kawaki's Kama hadn't yet decompressed.

Immediately, he shrank and spread the flames around him. Around him, Isshiki started to shrink numerous targets, forcing Koji to avoid them. In the end, Isshiki's attack broke Koji's mask, exposing him as an Amado-made clone of Jiraiya. Isshiki was forced into utilizing a defective resurrection that was slowly killing him, and he openly praised Koji and Amado's plan. Isshiki felt that Koji had little chance of defeating him.

Thus he saw Koji as a fool who had been used as a piece in a sacrifice. Koji dismissed him and switched to Sage Mode. Due to his increased strength, Koji could hold his own against Isshiki for a while, but Isshiki ultimately won by unleashing huge stone pillars to crush Koji's left arm and flank.

Isshiki decided to implant Kawaki with the Kama because he knew his body would fail in two or three days. He did this by teleporting him to Konohagakure and didn't give the other Shinobi any thought as he casually strolled into the settlement. Naruto immediately caught up with him, startling Isshiki by allowing the Hokage to escape from his seal.

Isshiki started decreasing several structures to obliterate the community when Naruto resisted. Naruto instantly attacked him with all his strength but Isshiki defeated him easily. Ultimately, Naruto was saved thanks to Sasuke's Rinnegan's quick intervention.

When Sasuke began throwing shurikens carelessly, Isshiki realized their attempts were useless because he could shrink everyone. Then Sasuke swung his sword at Isshiki and it was revealed to be Boruto transformed when he was unable to shrink it.

He turned on his Kama and transferred both himself and Isshiki to a different dimension. Isshiki was surprised by how much Boruto could use Momoshiki's strength without appropriate training, and soon Sasuke and Naruto joined him in supporting Boruto.

Isshiki grabbed Boruto and threw him into the air as he engaged Isshiki. Sasuke switched places with Boruto because he was impressed by how much Boruto's Kama had grown, but Isshiki stopped him and booted him out of the way.

Together, Naruto and Sasuke forced Isshiki to defend himself as he started evading all of their assaults. Isshiki started creating and controlling enormous black cubes that divided the pair. When Boruto jumped in the path of Isshiki's attempt to murder Sasuke with his own sword, Isshiki was forced to pause.

This gave Boruto the impression that Isshiki was reconsidering his plan. Isshiki attempted to reject the allegation, but when he did, Boruto made a kunai-wielding threat to kill himself if he didn't back down. Sasuke was knocked out in the process as Isshiki soon subdued Boruto after shrinking the kunai from his hands.

When Boruto has fully evolved into an Otsutsuki, according to Isshiki, he will be fed to the Ten-Tails in order to help it grow into a God Tree.

Naruto in Brayon Mode vs. Isshiki

Naruto knocked away Isshiki and even though he offered to leave them alone for the time being if they turned over Kawaki, Naruto made the desperate decision to change into a new form and start pressing and then overpowered Isshiki.

After some time, Naruto started to feel the effects of Baryon Mode, which let Isshiki understand how draining it was. Isshiki realized that Naruto's new strength also drained his life force when they made contact as he started spitting up blood. Isshiki was able to use the chakra link to Kawaki's prosthetic hand to teleport to the field before time ran out while Naruto was still attacking him.

Isshiki chose to attack the Hokage, who had fallen as Kawaki attempted to escape him by taking advantage of Kawaki's love for Naruto. Finally, Kawaki emerged and launched an attack while employing the ninjutsu Naruto had taught him. It was quickly defeated by Isshiki, who branded Kawaki once more and smugly declared triumph before the mark vanished.

It was then discovered that Kawaki was simply a shadow clone and rendered him insufficient to host the Kama as the horrified Isshiki questioned how this was possible. Isshiki finally ran out of time and disintegrated into dust, leaving Kawaki to strike the fatal blow while crushing his disintegrating form into ashes.

Isshiki's soul spoke with Code through his White Kama despite his death and continued to be stubborn. Isshiki explained the circumstances of Code's death to a distraught Code. Isshiki instructed Code to carry out the tsutsuki clan's will before departing.

He instructed Code to kidnap either Kawaki or Boruto Uzumaki, feed them to the Ten-Tails, and consume the God Fruit in order to turn into a tsutsuki himself and continue evolving. Accepting Isshiki's final decision, Code asked about the names of individuals responsible for Isshiki's death so that Code may exact revenge. Before finally leaving the world of the living, Isshiki gave him the names.

Isshiki Otsutsuki was overconfident and thought no one could defeat him. He sees all the shinobis insects, which are very weak creatures and can't ever defeat him. When he completely overcame Jigen's brain and body and crushed his will to live, Isshiki demonstrated his disrespect for other people's lives.

He also showed that even other clan members were not above being expendable to him, as he intended to sacrifice Momoshiki's Vessel in order to grow a God Tree. He insulted Jigen's sobs and called him a useless and defective vessel as he engulfed his body with great strength.

He openly humiliated opponents during the fight, continuously mocking them after overpowering them and taking pride in their awe or fear of his strength. However, he had an authoritarian character that was perfectly capable of gaining the group's respect, to the point where he easily calmed even the arrogant Victor and the irritable Delta. He was also seen to be somewhat vain, keeping clothes and wine glasses in his pocket dimension, among other items.

He observed that some people made him laugh, such as Deepa occasionally, yet he seemed to hide these feelings because Amado did not believe he was capable of laughing. He was completely unfazed by this when he fought Naruto and Sasuke, widely regarded as the two strongest shinobi in history.

This self-assurance, however, didn't stop Isshiki from complimenting his rivals and maintained his composure even when cornered, and thanked them for exposing the limitations of his skills. He was also ready to acknowledge defeat when it came to cunning, boldly claiming Amado had won through forced resurrection in Jigen's corpse.

He was also seen as a perfectionist, showing anger at his adopted son's preference for his prosthetic right arm over his natural right arm and expressing a wish to restore his right arm swiftly. Yet, he could only be concerned that his future body would be flawed.

Isshiki was a hypocrite and an abusive dad. After adopting Kawaki and promising him safety, he subjected the young boy and the other fourteen participants to a risky experiment in which thirteen died instantly.

He used physical abuse and neglect to teach Kawaki to be his vessel and, as a form of punishment for disobedience, beat the boy without ever explaining to him why he had been given the seal. Kawaki's violent tendencies and disturbed mentality directly result from Isshiki's terrible parenting.

Ishhiki had commanding skills, and because of that, he was able to lead the big group as one. He was also one of the most intelligent villains in the Naruto and Boruto series as he formed a Hi-Tech group like kara and patiently waited for his plans to carry on and did not rush too much except a few times.

Even after passing away, he was determined to keep his clan's evolutionary path moving forward. He gave his most devoted and trusted lieutenant Code the duty of becoming an Otsutsuki by planting a new God Tree on Earth, eating a chakra fruit, and then carrying out this task on additional planets. He was also vengeful, ordering Code to kill everyone contributing to his demise.

Isshiki's fingernails and toenails were painted black, while his hair, right eyebrow, and goatee were pale blue and short. He also had a strange alternate zigzag patterns resembling the hair parts worn by other members of his clan.

Isshiki had the unique features of the Otsutsuki clan, such as pale skin, a long, curving horn that grew from his left brow, wrapped around the back of his skull, and stretched outward from his right temple, resembling a crown. His left eye was a Byakugan, and his right eye had a yellow iris and pupil with a black wheel-like pattern in the middle and eight spokes.

He had identical tattoos on his chest and back: on his chest, a vertical column of six magatamas with a black mallet-shaped emblem placed above it, and on his back, a vertical column of six smaller black mallet emblems.

The coat was embroidered with designs that matched his tattoos, including vertical columns made up of eight magatama designs on the sleeves and a pattern with the same design. But the black mallet symbol in front of the second magatama on the back.

Isshiki preferred to wear a stylish, slim-fit, long-sleeved white tailcoat with maroon inner and cuffs, an exaggerated collar that folded back over his bare, muscular torso, and a pair of loose-fitting black pants that frequently covered his bare feet.

Isshiki Otsutsuki was one of the strongest Otsutsuki clan members, as even Kaguya was a lower-ranked clan member. He was so powerful that Jigen's body could not control the power of Isshiki, and that's why he wanted Kawaki to be his vessel.

Naruto Uzumaki and Sasuke Uchiha, the greatest and strongest shinobi, were helpless against Isshiki Otsutsuki even when he was at a disadvantage of his own body limit.

Chakra and Physical Prowess

Despite being severely worn out by his battle with Naruto and Sasuke, he was still more than able to fight against Koji Kashin hand to hand. Isshiki also has strong senses because even Naruto was unable to detect the presence of Koji's toad.

Isshiki's strength and speed in his true form were so great that he was able to easily defeat Naruto in his Six Paths Sage Mode and he even kicked him through walls without Naruto being able to react. Not only that, he playfully teased him over the course of their fight before killing him and then attacked Sasuke. At the same time, his Sharingan was unable to track him quickly enough.

His evil chakra was already powerful enough to frighten Ino Yamanaka to the brink of collapse even though he was stopping himself. His chakra was such that when he used Jigen's Kama to channel more of his power, it scared Sasuke into running and afterward scared both him and Naruto.

He needed a suitable vessel to handle his powerful chakra, as Amado and Isshiki remarked, for if he were to be reincarnated in Jigen's body, the man would perish within a few days. So Isshiki thought the maximum would be three days.

Isshiki Space-Time Ninjutsu

Isshiki’s ability to enter what seems to be his own dimension, a place with roiling purple storm clouds and parched white plains, he could use Space-Time Ninjutsu. The moonscape battlefield also resembled a massive casket with its lid hanging above the sky.

He was able to conduct a powerful fuinjutsu using the enormous construction that could seal even someone as powerful as Naruto away. Cracking the seal would only cause the contents to be destroyed because only Isshiki himself was able to do it. In the anime, he could also shoot strong fireballs out of his hands.

Ishhiki Kama

Isshiki could give people the Kama and this seal imparts the host with all of Isshiki's talents and techniques. This included a significant increase in physical prowess and chakra levels as well as the capacity to absorb chakra. It is a compressed backup file of Isshiki's biological data.

Isshiki proved such incredible physical strength and speed while using a vessel with its enhanced Kama that he was able to avoid Sasuke's Complete Body easily Susanoo and Naruto's Tailed Beast Mode attacks, plunge them out with a single attack, and severely beat them with just a few punches and kicks.

He had the strength to peacefully absorb Amaterasu's flames, which were strong enough to injure even Tailed Beasts without showing any signs of fear. Additionally, he had the ability to teleport rapidly between two targets carrying his mark by connecting the space between them.

The ultimate intent behind the Kama was to allow Isshiki to transcend death and be reincarnated at the expense of the Vessel's uniqueness by replacing the host's genetic Code. After nearly dying from Kaguya's onslaught, Isshiki applied the Kama to Jigen. Still, knowing Jigen's body would perish after being revived through him, Isshiki utilized the Kama to better manage Jigen's body as a vessel.

Dojutsu

Sukunahikona

A technique that allowed him to instantly reduce the size of himself or any other non-living target he viewed and then fast increase their size again. After downsizing a target, he could use Daikokuten to store it in a pocket with a timeless dimension that he could access at any time and resize to its original size.

He tended to use this frequently, manifesting new versions of damaged furniture and other goods, including a table, food, drink, and even lit candles.

Isshiki had the ability to freely control these objects after they were materialized anywhere in his surroundings. He could use his skills to deadly use in battle by shrinking tools and objects and then summoning them to life right on his foes, dealing devastating shock-based damage, or by shrinking elemental attacks and projectile weapons to stop them from injuring him.

Even smaller structures might inflict considerable collateral damage and give his adversaries no place to stand. His most regular technique with them was to produce black rods of various sizes instantly and in large quantities to impale his enemies with incredible force, enough to pierce Naruto's chakra shroud.

He had the capacity to produce and summon a variety of unusual black rods. Small cliffs could be destroyed by firing a barrage of such rods in their direction. Isshiki's rods were strong enough to combat Naruto's Rasengan on an equal footing.

Isshiki, an Otsutsuki, had a Byakugan, although it appeared that it was only in his left eye, and he was unable to use it while within a vessel. Although some specific barriers he could not see through, such as an underground facility within Konoha that was created with such arrangements and Sasuke's mineral-based smoke bomb, it gave him the typical near-360° field of x-ray vision and the ability to see the chakra pathway system.

Isshiki was featured in Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker, which was released in August 2018.
