Life of Mui

Mui used to live with his wife, but when his son Muku was born, his wife died. Mui raised Muku by himself, doing everything for him. He enjoyed eating ramen with him. He was sad about his village's condition, and as Guardian of the Box of the Ultimate Bliss, Mui tried to open it ten years ago in exchange for Muku's chakra to bring back the village's great days. He failed to open it, and Muku got sucked inside the box. Mui asked his superiors to help him open the box so he could save his son, but in vain.

Later, Mui became the master of the Hozuki Castle, which is run by all the five great nations. They transfer dangerous criminals into Hozuki Castle. Mui and the Fruit Group planned to bring Naruto Uzumaki to the village so they could use him to open the Bliss Box, and it would grant them a wish. As Naruto was Jinchuriki, he had the needed chakra to open the Bliss Box.

When Naruto came to Hozuki Castle, Mui used his Fire Release: Heavenly Prison technique to restrain him from using any chakra or technique. Mui later ordered Maroi to get Naruto so that they could take out his chakra. However, when Mui stabbed him with a knife, they found out that it was a shadow clone of Naruto; on the other hand, the real Naruto tried to escape from the prison but because of Mui’s Jutsu, he was not able to and got caught again.

The Fruit group decided to kill Kazan, as he was the one they had hired to use his 100 Transformation Jutsu to become Naruto and do all the crimes to frame Naruto. They could use this to bring him to the castle where they could take out his Chakra. Mui then took Naruto to the lab and took out his chakra to open the Bliss Box.

Mui asked the Bliss Box to grant his wish to see his son, but when Muku came out of the Bliss Box, Mui started crying and asked Muku to forgive him. He was wrong for using his own child for the sake of the village’s glory, but Muku stabbed Mui and told him that he should not ask for this wish. He then transformed into Satori.

Naruto and the Hidden Leaf shinobi came to Mui’s rescue and battled against Satori. Mui gathered up his strength and attacked Satori with all his might and used his Heavenly Prison Technique on Satori which made him revert back to Muku, but once again, Muku attacked Mui and then used his Fire Release jutsu on himself and died. Mui also died.

Mui’s Personality

Mui was a caring and loving father and husband, but after his wife died, he became cold, and under the influence of the Fruit Group, he became cold-hearted and gave up his son for his village’s glory.

When Mui became the Hozuki Castle master, he was cold-hearted and always strict. Later, when he again saw Muku, he started to cry and showed his soft side and how much he regretted his past decisions. Mui was also very confident in his power and took great pride in telling the prisoners about it.

Mui’s Appearance

He wore a suit with a brown belt and a silver buckle. When he met with other Fruit Group members, he wore the metal head of a bull and loose-fitting black robes. Mui has long black hair that covers his shoulders, yet 10 years ago, when he attempted to unlock the Box of Ultimate Bliss with Muku, his hair was around shoulder length.

Mui’s Abilities

Mui was the most skilled and powerful shinobi in Hozuki castle, and that’s why he was chosen as head of the command. Mui could use Fire Release: Great Fire Heavenly Prison and could also use Taijutsu, as shown when he fought Naruto.

Mui’s Great Fire Heavenly Prison stopped Satori and made him revert back to Muku. It restrained anyone from using any chakra. He also placed the jutsu on the prison so if by chance anyone escaped, they would be burnt down. Mui can also use the Fire Style Sword technique to burn down enemies.

Trivia

  • After Mui died, Kahyo became the Warden of the Hozuki castle.

  • Mui means Inactivity.
