Shimogakure, also known as the Village Hidden in Frost, is the hidden village of a lesser-known country named the Land of Frost in the Naruto verse.

Shimogakure or the Hidden Frost Village is the hidden shinobi village of the Land of Frost, located somewhere between the Land of Water and the Land of Lightning. Not much is known about this shinobi village. Due to its status and significantly low contribution to the story of the Naruto series, it hasn’t made any visual appearance, it is just mentioned here and there a few times.
During the Fourth Great Ninja War, the Daimyo of the Land of Frost (Frost Daimyo) and his people evacuated to keep themselves safe from the war. Additionally, Konohagakure, popularly known as the Village Hidden in the Leaves, provided shelter to the villagers of Shimogakure. The residents of the Hidden Frost Village relocated to Konoha as Shimogakure was predicted to become a battlefield with heavy fighting in the Fourth Great Shinobi War.
The Land of Frost fails to discuss an alliance conference with the shinobi of the Land of Fire at some point, as mentioned in the novel, Itachi Shinden: Book of Dark Night. In the end, the shinobi from Hidden Frost Village end up slaughtering their allies. They were ultimately eliminated by Itachi Uchiha, Kakashi Hatake, Sugaru, and Tenzo.
