Itachi Uchiha was a rogue shinobi of the Village Hidden in the Leaves in the popular Naruto series. In his lifetime, he was part of multiple teams and organizations in the series.

Itachi Uchiha is a member of the legendary Uchiha Clan of the Village Hidden in the Leaves. He graduated from the Ninja Academy at age seven and was promoted to the rank of Chunin when he was ten years old. He was considered a prodigy and a genius of the Uchiha Clan. In his lifetime, he served as a member of multiple teams, starting from being a member of Team 2 as a genin to a member of the Akatsuki as a rogue ninja.
After graduating from the Ninja Academy, Itachi became a member of Team 2, a genin squad of Hidden Leaf. Team 2 consisted of Itachi Uchiha, Tenma Izumo and ShinkoInari led by Yuki Minazuki. Team 2 had made their mark on the map in their first year. They were assigned the task of escorting the Feudal Lord of the Land of Fire on his routine trips to Hidden Leaf. In this mission, Tenma is killed by a masked man, later revealed to be ObitoUchiha. Shinko recuses herself from the life of a shinobi after Tenma’s death. This incident led to the awakening of Itachi’s Sharingan. Itachi left Team 2 after getting promoted to Chunin.
At the of 11, Itachi joined the Anbu Black Ops. He was the youngest shinobi to become Anbu. He was assigned to Team Ro, an elite Anbu unit that serves directly under the Hokage of the Hidden Leaf. In Team Ro, he worked alongside Tenzo (Yamato) and KakashiHatake as his captain.
As an Anbu, he was assigned to keep 24X7 surveillance on the Uchiha Clan. On the other hand, Fugaku also appointed him to spy on the village’s higher-ups. Itachi became a double agent. He opposed the idea of a coup d'état. He believed this would lower the village’s defenses and enemy villages would use that opportunity to attack the village, eventually leading to war.
He tried to find a way to prevent it, but the relations between the village became worse. This led him to massacre the Uchiha Clan to preserve peace in the village and to keep the clan from tarnishing the Uchiha name. He agreed to this assignment under the condition that his younger brother, Sasuke Uchiha, would be spared and be taken care of. After the Uchiha Clan Massacre, Itachi fled the village and joined the Akatsuki, an organization he deemed as a threat to the village and kept tabs on it for the Hidden Leaf.
Itachi deemed Akatsuki a threat to the Hidden Leaf and infiltrated its ranks. Akatsuki was a criminal organization consisting of rogue ninjas from different villages with unique abilities. They worked towards the end goal of world domination. Itachi was paired up with Juzo Biwa, a rogue ninja from the Hidden Mist Village and a former member of the Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist. During a mission in the Hidden Mist Village, Itachi and Juzo were confronted by Yagura Karatachi, Fourth Mizukage and Jinchuriki of the Three-Tails. In their battle, Juzo lost his life. Itachi managed to escape.
After Juzo’s death, Itachi was partnered up with KisameHoshigaki. Kisame was also a rogue ninja from the Hidden Mist Village and a former member of the Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist. In their time together, Itachi and Kisame became friends and developed a mutual respect for each other.
A. Tenma was killed by a masked man during a mission. Itachi and the rest of Team 2 were assigned to escort the Feudal Lord of the Land of Fire. They were attacked by a masked man, later revealed to be Obito Uchiha.
A. Itachi deemed the Akatsuki as a threat to the Hidden Leaf. After the Uchiha Clan Massacre, he infiltrated the ranks of the Akatsuki to keep tabs on its movement and to make sure they did not plot anything against the Hidden Leaf.
