This episode starts off with the Allied Shinobi Forces attacking Madara Uchiha and Obito Uchiha head-on, with Naruto Uzumaki in the front. Obito and Madara, who is controlling the Ten-Tails, counterattack by using Ten-Tails’ powers and blasting away their attackers. Madara realizes that instead of attacking the beast, they were attacking them to sever the enemy’s brain from the body, which was a basic strategy. Before proceeding with their plans, they start firing Tailed Beast Bombs on random targets to showcase their power, and to let the Allied Shinobi Forces know what despair felt like. Madara attacks the Allied Shinobi Forces’ HQ with a Tailed Beast Bomb to sever their brains. ShikakuNara, Shikamaru Nara’s father, relays his strategy to defeat the Ten-Tails to the whole force. Shikaku and InoichiYamanaka then communicate their final goodbyes to Shikamaru and Ino as their final acts.

After Madara has destroyed the Allied HQ, he states that soon it would be impossible to control the Ten-Tails without a Jinchuriki, and that he needed a living body instead of a corpse as a host to become the Ten-Tails Jinchuriki. Obito then mentions that Madara was in a very delicate situation as he was the only one who could bring Madara fully alive. Madara allows Obito the next move. This snaps him back to reality. Kurama backs Hinata and reminds him that Neji did exactly what Minato and Kushina did when he was born. Witnessing the turn of events, Obito tries to fire a Tailed Beast Bomb, but Killer B counterattacks it in his Tailed Beast Mode, making Ten-Tails swallow its attack. Naruto realizes the position he is in and stands back. He enters his Kurama Chakra Mode and shares some of Kurama’s chakra with Hinata, covering her in a red cloak.
