Who is Harusame in Naruto

Very little is known about his childhood and the information regarding Harusame’s past and his heritage is still shrouded in mystery. He was Utakata’s, the Jinchuriki of the Six Tails Chakra Beast, former master.

Utakata had once returned from a mission for Harusame bearing a scroll and stated that a shinobi should carry out and finish their tasks as soon as possible. Harusame, angry at his pupil, countered that Utakata's responsibility was to track down and recover the scroll, not to retrieve it. He continued by saying that Utakata's life was valuable and that a ninja should neither avoid conflict nor get involved in a pointless battle.

Afterward, Harusame made an attempt to free Saiken, the Six-Tails Chakra Beast, from Utakata because he thought that Utakata would be better off without the tailed beast. This was because he thought it would only cause problems for his student. Saiken immediately took control of Utakata and killed Harusame in an effort to save itself from being extracted because there was no known technique to extract a tailed beast without killing the host.

Since that time, Utakata harbored a bitter resentment against Harusame and this led him to believe that the relationship between a teacher and pupil cannot be relied upon. Tsurugi, head of the Hidden Mist’s hunter ninjas, later stated that Harusame’s approach might have been ruthless but he attempted to extract Saiken to save Utakata. However, his words fell on the deaf ears of Utakata as he didn’t believe Tsurugi’s words until he remembered Harusame’s final words to him.

Because of his lack of appearances in the series and related information, almost nothing is known about Harusame’s personality. Based on the little information that is present, it can be deduced that Harusame was a quite kind individual who adored Utakata, contradicting what Utakata used to believe.

Harusame was a man of great stature and he believed that a ninja should never flee from conflict or get involved in pointless fights. He treasured Utakata and would go to any lengths if that meant he could protect him. In the end, he died trying to save Utakarta from the pain and misery that he would have to eventually face as a Jinchuriki.

Harusame had a long, loose ponytail of black hair that was pulled back. He also had a long-winded mustache and grey eyes. He dressed in an elegant kimono that was blue with orange trimmings, just like his student had, over which he wore a purple vest, a grey scarf around his neck, and plain shoes on his feet. Harusame could also be spotted wearing round spectacles, which indicates that he had rather weak eye-sight.

Despite being a highly skilled shinobi, very little is known about the skills and powers that Harusame possessed. He only had a few appearances throughout the series, therefore he never displayed any of his skills or tactics. Despite this, it is claimed that when compared to his peers, he was in a league of his own.

Harusame was exceptionally skilled in fuinjutsu, also known as sealing jutsu, despite the fact that virtually little is known about the rest of his abilities. According to reports, he was the one who sealed the Six-Tails into his pupil, Utakata, and was even able to try to remove it without worrying that it would kill his student.

It can be presumed that he was competent in soap bubble ninjutsu as he was also carrying a bamboo jar and bubble pipe.
