Masashi Kishimoto is a Japanese manga artist and writer best known for creating the popular series "Naruto." The series ran for 15 years, from 1999 to 2014, and has sold over 250 million copies worldwide as of May 2019.
Kishimoto began his career as a manga artist in the late 1990s, submitting his work to various publishers. In 1999, his first major series, "Naruto," began serialization in the weekly magazine Shonen Jump. The series quickly gained popularity and became one of the best-selling manga series of all time.
Kishimoto was born in Nagi, Okayama, Japan, on November 8, 1974. He began drawing manga at a young age and was heavily influenced by the works of his older twin brother, Seishi Kishimoto.
In September 1999, Kishimoto's first major manga series, "Naruto," began serialization in the weekly magazine Shonen Jump. The series quickly gained popularity and became one of the best-selling manga series of all time.
"Naruto" tells the story of a young ninja named Naruto Uzumaki who dreams of becoming the leader of his village. The series is known for its complex and well-developed characters, as well as its themes of friendship, perseverance, and the desire to become stronger.
In addition to "Naruto," Kishimoto has also created several other manga series, such as "Karakuri" and "Samurai 8: The Tale of Hachimaru." He also made a one-shot manga, "Naruto: The Seventh Hokage and the Scarlet Spring, " published in 2016.

Kishimoto married his longtime girlfriend in 2008, and the couple has a son. He is known for his dedication to his craft, spending long hours working on his manga and striving for perfection in his art. He has also been a major influence on the manga industry, inspiring countless other artists to pursue their own careers in the manga industry.
Kishimoto's works have been translated and published in several countries, including the United States, France, Italy, and Spain. He has a huge fan base worldwide and is considered one of the most successful manga artists of all time.
