Sumashi is a tokubetsu jonin and he belongs to Iwagakure. He is said to be too confident for his own good. Sumashi is quite proficient with Earth Release techniques and was the one responsible for Obito’s death.

He and his group attacked Team Minato during the Third Great Shinobi War after they had infiltrated the Iwagakure. Once he congratulated Kakashi on his skills, he then attacked him and Rin. He made the landscape that had killed Obito Uchiha and Sumashi died when Minato had successfully teleported his team to safety.
Sumashi is often described by people as being confident.
Sumashi has short black hair with small dark eyes and thick eyebrows. He wears the standard uniform of the Iwagakure Ninja with his forehead protector which he wears like a Bandana, a flak jacket and a single left sleeved shirt with a lapel that runs down to his right side of the waist with sandals.
Sumashi is quite proficient with Earth Release techniques. He uses Earth Release: Tearing Earth Turning Palm in an attempt to bury the members of team Minato alive.
