Who is the Seventh Hokage?

Naruto Uzumaki is the protagonist of both Naruto and Naruto Shippuden but plays a supporting role in the show Boruto. Because of this, Naruto’s history is fleshed out throughout the series.

Naruto’s eventful life began from the moment he was born. Since his mother was the jinchuriki of the Nine-Tailed Fox Kurama, someone targeted her during childbirth to release the tailed beast and caused it to rampage in Konoha. Naruto’s father, the fourth Hokage along with his mother, sacrificed their lives to seal Kurama in Naruto. They then entrusted him to the third Hokage and passed away.

Naruto grew up without knowing about his parents, but the villagers knew that he was the jinchuriki of the nine-tails so he grew up with them hating him. He did not have a lot of people who looked after him and with so many people hating him, he was lonely throughout his childhood. While all parents told their children to avoid Naruto, Shikamaru, a genius child, understood his peril and played with him. Naruto also made a connection with Sasuke Uchiha, who also seemed to be lonely like him but never got to talk to each other due to their difference in personalities. He also had a father figure, his sensei Iruka.

In school, Naruto couldn’t pass because he couldn’t do a basic cloning technique. He was then misled by a teacher and tricked him into stealing a forbidden scroll. After stealing the scroll, Naruto learnt the most advanced cloning technique, multi shadow clone jutsu before getting confronted by Iruka. Naruto and Iruka then get attacked by the other teacher and Naruto uses his multi shadow clone jutsu to defeat him. After Naruto had mastered the most advanced cloning technique after just one night, Iruka graduated him from the academy.

After graduation, he gets put in a team alongside Sasuke Uchiha and Sakura Haruno with Kakashi Hatake as their mentor. They defeat many great foes and eventually grow closer as a team. They then participate in the chunin exam, during which Naruto meets his next master, Jiraiya. He teaches him the summoning jutsu, which he would later use to defend the Leaf village from Shukaku, the one tailed beast. During this time, the third Hokage also passes away while trying to defend the village from Orochimaru, one of the three legendary sannin.

Jiraiya and Naruto then journey to find the fourth Hokage, a slot which was then unoccupied. They ask Tsunade, another one of the three sannin, to take the place but she refuses and calls the position a joke, which triggers Naruto. He then masters the rasengan on a bet against her and defeats Kabuto, Orochimaru’s assistant who was trying to take Tsunade away after poisoning her. That combined with Naruto’s desire, makes up Tsunade’s mind to return to Konoha as the hokage.

Sasuke, who is now Naruto’s best friend, leaves the village to seek strength from Orochimaru. Naruto then chases him and fails but he makes it his life’s goal to bring Sasuke back. He also leaves the village with Jiraiya to train with him.

A few years later, he returns to the village, all grown up and is much stronger and much more in control of his chakra. He gets hunted by a team called Akatsuki, who was trying to hunt all the tailed beasts. He learns a new technique, Rasenshuriken which incorporates his wind element into the rasengan. He defeats an Akatsuki member, but was proven to be unusable as it had a severe effect on the user’s body. To become stronger, he learns the sage technique. After successfully learning this technique, when he returns, he finds that the whole village was destroyed by Pain. Naruto then uses the sage technique to defeat him and met his father, for the first time, during his fight. He was then praised as the hero of the village.

Naruto then trains with the eight tail’s jinchuriki to master his own tailed beast’s powers and quickly learns how to do that. While this was happening, all the shinobi had united to stop the Akatsuki from misusing the powers of the tailed beasts they had captured. Naruto senses this and rushes to the battlefield and befriends Kurama in the process. He then becomes friends with all the tailed beasts.

The war takes many twists and turns, and Naruto meets the sage of six paths. He then finds out that he is the reincarnation of Asura. With his newly found powers, Naruto then ends the war and, in a post-war world, settles in a peaceful Konoha and gets married to Hinata Hyuga a few years later. He also has two children, Boruto and Himawari.

What are the abilities, Chakra and Physical Prowess of Naruto?

Naruto does not learn a lot of skills through the series. He uses the same jutsu for a long time before moving on to the next one. His best skills are the Shadow Clone jutsu, Sexy jutsu (which almost saved the world), Rasengan, Rasenshuriken, Odoma Rasengan, Sage mode and Kyuubi mode. However, during the timeskip to Boruto, he seems to pick up a lot more skills.

Due to his Uzumaki bloodline AND since he has a tailed beast inside him, Naruto’s chakra reserve is beyond incredible. It is so much that during the allied shinobi war, he made cloaks out of Kurama’s chakra and gave it to every single person on the battlefield, including Rock Lee who could not use ninjutsu prior to this. The Uzumaki bloodline is the reason Naruto could summon so many shadow clones at once as well, which was terrifying to most people.

Q. Is Naruto a full Uzumaki?

A. While Naruto’s last name is Uzumaki, he is actually both Namikaze and Uzumaki due to his father, Minato being a Namikaze. He was named an Uzumaki to hide his identity as the son of the fourth Hokage.

Q. Why is Naruto the seventh Hokage?

A. The title of Hokage is given to the strongest shinobi of that time. Naruto was not only the strongest shinobi of his time, but also maybe the strongest of all time. This makes him a natural choice for the title of Hokage.

Q. Does Naruto die in Boruto?

A. No. Naruto has not yet died in Boruto. It is unknown whether this will happen to him. However, in the first episode of Boruto, it says that Boruto is the last shinobi in existence, which either means that Naruto is no longer a shinobi or he will eventually die.
