Although Itachi was hated at first, after Obito revealed the true reason behind Itachi murdering the entire Uchiha clan, the fanbase changed their entire opinion about him. He became an unsung hero and someone who was unfairly put in situations he shouldn’t have been in, and most importantly, the one who had to make a choice. His act to save Sasuke melted the hearts of many and it became one of the most heroic deeds of the whole Naruto franchise.
The one who killed Itachi Uchiha was none other than his brother, Sasuke Uchiha. But this was not a definite victory of overpowering strength, as Itachi was slowly dying due to health complications. It is also obvious that Itachi let Sasuke kill him as well and Sasuke was unaware of Itachi’s sacrifice prior to killing him.

Sasuke was always a genius but his brother, Itachi Uchiha, was an even greater genius and because of this, Sasuke always felt like he was living in his shadow. However, this did not make Sasuke resent him but he did feel sad that his brother was out on missions all the time. He craved for his father’s approval which was made difficult because Itachi was able to do much better than him. But Sasuke would still earn it through sheer hard work and determination.
Things went down one unfortunate night when Sasuke returned home to an eerily silent Uchiha clan. To his horror, everyone in the clan had been murdered. He walked into his house and saw his brother murder both his parents right in front of him. Itachi walks up to a horrified Sasuke and tells him that he was letting Sasuke go because he wanted someone to best him someday. From that point onwards, seeking revenge for his clan became Sasuke’s life’s goal.
Sasuke then graduates basic academy and becomes a part of Team 7 lead by Kakashi Hatake. He was selfish at the beginning but formed strong bonds with Naruto, his teammate and also acknowledges his other team mate’s, Sakura’s, feelings towards him. He thought them both inferior to him at first due to his Uchiha blood and Sharingan. He goes through a lot of things together with them, and finally sees Naruto as an equal during the Chunin exam.
Sasuke gets cursed by a disguised Orochimaru during the Chunin exam. This curse mark would help Sasuke grow stronger but he saw it as nothing more than a hindrance. However, after all the events that took place, Sasuke realized that he was not getting stronger – but Naruto was, and rapidly. This causes an outbreak and he fights with Naruto. Although there was no clear winner for the fight, he gets shocked at how much stronger Naruto is than him.
Because of how much Naruto had gotten stronger, Sasuke was seeking more strength; and he knew someone who had exactly what he needed – Orochimaru. He leaves the village and defeats Naruto, who was trying to stop him.
A few years later, he is confronted by Naruto but refuses to go with him. He knew of Orochimaru’s ill intentions with him, so he killed him. After that, he set out to kill his brother, Itachi Uchiha. On his way there, he makes three new companions – Suigetsu Hozuki, Jugo and Karin. The team of four was named to be Taka and their purpose was to stop anyone from interrupting Sasuke’s fight with Itachi.
Sasuke finally tracks down Itachi, from which he fights what seems to be a losing battle. The fight gets intense, at one point they both seem to be at equal strength. But he slowly starts overpowering his brother, but Itachi fights back and approaches Sasuke, as if he were going to kill him, and dies in front of him with his finger on Sasuke’s forehead.
Sasuke is a character who learns a lot of jutsu throughout the series. Due to him being an Uchiha, he already had an affinity with fire. He was seen to be using a fireball technique right out of the academy. He practised it with his father when he was only little and he also has incredible Taijutsu skill. His most iconic power is the Sharingan, which was extremely rare due to the near extinction of the Uchiha clan.
In terms of Chakra, Sasuke has quite a powerful one as this is partly due to his nature as the reincarnation of Indra. However, Sasuke consumes his chakra quite quickly as the Sharingan uses quite a lot of Chakra. He could only use his iconic move, the chidori, three times a day as a child. He seems to outgrow these difficulties after his training with Orochimaru and had such strong chakra that he could easily mix his fire style and lightning style by using them both simultaneously.
Sasuke’s physical prowess is not to be underestimated. Thanks to his Sharingan, he can easily copy any high level taijutsu, like when he copied Rock Lee’s signature move. He also uses a sword, which he infuses his lightning with. He is incredibly quick and can flash around the battlefield.
Sasuke has a lot of abilities thanks to his intensive training. However, not all are explained in the anime, so here are some of the most iconic special abilities:

Q. Does Sasuke really love Sakura?
A. Although it might seem like Sasuke ignored Sakura his entire life, he did love her. She was the only person he said goodbye to before he left the village. In the new era, he is married to Sakura and even has a child with her called Sarada. That is proof enough to believe that Sasuke does love Sakura.

A. Sasuke is in his early thirties in Boruto but it is unconfirmed as it is not explicitly mentioned in the anime. This is an assumed guess from looking into the age of their children and comparing it to when they got married.
Q. How strong is curse mark Sasuke?
A. Curse Mark Sasuke is incredibly strong. However, it does not hold a candle to who Sasuke became after removing the curse mark. The curse mark might amplify your skills at first sight, but it also stunts your growth. Orochimaru can not have his vessels turning on him as well, so the curse mark is restrictive to say the least.
