Kaguya fell in love with a human and had twins with them, Hagoromo and Hamura Otsutsuki. They realized their mother’s evil ways and confronted her. She had planned to kill them as well to obtain their chakra anyway, so she fused with the Divine Tree to obtain the power of the Ten Tails.

She was defeated by both of them and sealed inside a giant body that would become the moon. However, the Ten Tails that remained was split into 9 different beings by Hagoromo Otsutsuki.

Hagoromo Otsutsuki was one of the first Shinobi to be born on Earth. Since his mother, Kaguya Otsutsuki had Chakra that she obtained from the Chakra fruit, he also received it upon birth. Him and his brother grew up, exploring various skills that they could do thanks to the Chakra that they were given.

However, it was not always peaceful. By consuming the Chakra fruit, Kaguya also got consumed in return and that corrupted her soul. She, who wished for peace, always wanted more and planned to take Chakra away from her children as well. She sacrificed more people, and her children found out. They confronted her, but she had already set her plans in motion.

A fight broke out between the twins and their mother. As she was about to lose, she fused with the Divine Tree and became the Ten Tails. They eventually beat her by combining their powers and sealed her away in debris, which would form the moon. Hagoromo split the remaining Ten Tails into 9 different entities of Chakra called the Tailed Beasts and named each of them.

On his deathbed, he would tell all the Tailed Beasts to contribute to humanity and to live freely. However, they were eventually captured and used as tools by Ninja thanks to the involvement of Black Zetsu, a piece of Kaguya that had manifested itself.

Years later, Naruto Uzumaki, the reincarnation of Hagoromo’s son Asura, would unite all the Tailed Beasts and bring them all together once again. He obtains the power of the Sage of Six Paths as well and ends up saving Humanity from Kaguya after she had been reincarnated.

Hagoromo is one of the most powerful ninjas to ever exist. He possessed the Rinnegan, along with an immense amount of chakra, which made him almost immortal. He also lived a full life, dying due to old age. He was the proprietor of chakra and thus he roamed from place to place, giving anyone who followed him Chakra along the way.

To understand how strong Haguromo is, one must realize that he was the first person to be born with Chakra on Earth. Without anyone to teach him, he not only managed to understand it but also mastered techniques using it. His chakra reserve and control are beyond incredible.

Hagoromo’s physical prowess is nothing to be scoffed at either. Although one might assume someone with chakra might be less gifted with physical combat, it was not the case with Hagoromo.

He not only had the ability to defend himself from Kaguya, but was also able to defeat his brother in hand-to-hand combat, despite his brother having the esteemed Byakugan, which enabled Taijutsu.
