What does the NFC West need from the draft?

San Francisco 49ers v Los Angeles Rams

Last week, I talked about what each NFC East team needs this offseason. With the NFL Scouting Combine coming up this week, what does each NFC West team need?

San Francisco 49ers (6-10): Wide Receiver, Offensive Line, Secondary

The San Francisco 49ers started the 2017 season at 1-10. They traded for quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo from the New England Patriots for a second-round pick. Ever since Garoppolo has started for the 49ers, they are 5-0 and San Francisco finished with a 6-10 record.

The 49ers need to draft a wide receiver and they should do that in the first-round. They might even draft one again in the later rounds. The 49ers could also upgrade the offensive line. San Francisco could use help in the secondary and they were contagious to giving up big plays this past season.

Arizona Cardinals (8-8): Quarterback, Wide Receiver, Linebacker

The Arizona Cardinals currently don't have a quarterback signed on the roster for the 2018 season. They will most likely pursue someone in free-agency, but the odds are very good they also draft one in the first-round.

Arizona should also draft a wide receiver because at some point, Larry Fitzgerald won't be with the Cardinals anymore. The receiving core isn't deep after him. It's Fitzgerald and everybody else. Arizona could use another talented linebacker in their 3-4 scheme.

Seattle Seahawks (9-7): Offensive Line, Defensive Line, Secondary

The Seattle Seahawks might have had the worst offensive line in the NFL last season. Russell Wilson was always scrambling for his life and he somehow wasn't injured during the season. Seattle could also use help on the defensive line because it is getting older and it isn't as scary as it used to be.

Kam Chancellor and Richard Sherman were hurt for part of the 2017 season. Earl Thomas is a free agent and it is unknown whether or not he will return with the Seahawks for 2018. Seattle should draft some players in the secondary because of the reasons I mentioned in the previous sentence and they are also getting older.

Los Angeles Rams (11-5): Safety, Interior Lineman, Tight End

The Los Angeles Rams were one of the biggest surprises in the NFL during the 2017 season. They won the NFC West, but the Rams lost to the Atlanta Falcons on Wild Card Weekend. The Rams maybe even better next season. It was Sean McVay's first year as the Rams head coach and the Rams offence were much better in 2017.

The Rams had a really good offensive line, but they could use another guard. Rookie tight end Gerald Everett wasn't used much in the offence this season. He was a good blocker, but I am sure McVay would love to use him as a pass catcher. If not, I could see the Rams drafting another tight end to bring in competition for Everett. Los Angeles could also use another safety and improve the secondary. They are trading for Kansas City Chiefs cornerback Marcus Peters and it won't be official until March 14.
