Video: Roethlisberger 'feels good' after knee surgery

Pittsburgh Steelers Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger says he feels healthy and ready for the 2013 NFL season following knee surgery last month.

Ben Roethlisberger, Pittsburgh Steelers Quarterback (on working with Todd Haley, Steelers Offensive Coordinator):“Well the great thing is last year was out first year working together, this is year two and we’ve come along way, there’s going to be some good stuff. We’re excited this year in the offensive and working with Todd (Haley) is great we’ve really been able to come together and formulate some good plans and we’ll be the best we can be.”

On his knee following surgery in June:“It feels great, it feels better than ever, like it’s a brand new knee and I feel younger than ever, I feel good.”

“Anytime we don’t win the Superbowl, it motivates you but especially someone in the division, someone like Baltimore, the Steeler-Baltimore rivalry is one of the best in all of sports so for them to win it kind of motivates us to want to come out this year and be as good as we can be.”

On playing the Minnesote Vikings in the International Series:“We don’t really know what to expect, I’ll talk to the guys when I go back. It’s really a level of uncertainty, guys are excited about coming over because it’s a new place to play. Obviously we know how long the trip is and getting here late in the week. The most important thing is we call it a business trip, we’re here to play the game and win the game. It’s unfortunate we don’t get to come over for longer and enjoy the beautiful city but for us it’s about coming over, playing the game and winning.”

On the growing popularity of the NFL outside the United States:“That’s great because I want to be an ambassador for the sport and for the Pittsburgh Steelers, any time we can bring a game over here and see fans – because obviously we know how big soccer is over here and we’re not obviously going to take over how big that sport is here – but just to grow the fanbase and come over here and play and see the excitement in some of the London people and in the UK about about big football can be over here.”
