Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs won 23-20 against the Cincinnati Bengals in the AFC Championship Game. It was their third AFC Championship win under Mahomes and on their way to that they broke a huge curse as well.

Famous artist Drake had put a bet of over $1 million in favor of the Chiefs defeating the Bengals and many Chiefs fans were scared about it. Drake's bets have emerged as a curse more often than not, and that was visible in the earlier game of the day.

Drake had placed his money on the San Francisco 49ers to win the game against the Philadelphia Eagles, which they ended up losing. However, the Drake curse had no effect on Patrick Mahomes and company.

Mahomes played through his ankle injury and had a remarkable game. He had 29/43 competitions for 326 yards and two touchdowns. He rushed for eight yards as well on three carries, the last of which ended up setting up a game-winning field goal for the Kansas City Chiefs.

It was a hard-fought win for the Chiefs as both Mahomes and Travis Kelce were dealing with injuries heading into the game. Moreover, the Chiefs lost Kadarius Toney, Mecole Hardman, Juju Smith-Schuster, Willie Gay, and L'Jarius Sneed through injuries during the game.

It was one of the best wins of Mahomes' career and he now has his third trip to the Super Bowl to prepare for. The Chiefs are set to face the Philadelphia Eagles as Travis Kelce and Jason Kelce will go against each other on the biggest stage.

There was a lot of talk around Joe Burrow being a better quarterback than Patrick Mahomes. However, with this win in the AFC Championship Game, the Chiefs quarterback may have put a stop to that narrative.

The Super Bowl will be played in Arizona on February 12, which will provide enough time for Mahomes and his teammates to heal up. They'll be ready to go against the Eagles, and it promises to be a great game.

The Eagles themselves are coming off a huge win over the San Francisco 49ers. Jalen Hurts will aim to lead his team to a Super Bowl win in just his second season as a starter.
