Former NFL wide receiver Chad "Ochocinco" Johnson got into hot water while traveling to Qatar recently. The 44 year old was hired last month as a FOX World Cup analyst for the upcoming 2022 FIFA World Cup. A big soccer fan, Johnson was traveling to Doha, Qatar where the FOX team will spend four weeks covering the tournament.

While at the airport, he was warned by local police not to show public displays of affection there. However, like most American citizens, he was unaware of this and fell awry of the law. He tweeted about the experience, saying that he was afraid that he was going to go to jail for breaking the law.

"I just got reprimanded (warning) in Qatar for showing display of affection in the airport, had no idea it was frowned upon, people had me nervous like I was going to jail."

Johnson will be a co-host on the World Cup Tonight show, recapping the day's events throughout the entire tournament. He has been a commentator for other soccer games, but this will surely be the biggest stage where he can showcase his knowledge.

Chad Johnson was selected by the Cincinnati Bengals in the second round of the 2001 NFL Draft out of Oregon State University. He played 11 seasons for the Bengals and was well-known not just for his talent, but also his personality.

He had seven seasons with over 1,000 receiving yards, setting a career high in the 2007 season with 1,440 yards. He was traded to the New England Patriots in 2011, where he saw a drastic drop in offensive production. Upon being released by the Patriots in 2012, he signed with the Miami Dolphins. He was then arrested on a domestic violence charge and was released by the team.

He attempted a comeback with the Canadian Football League, signing a contract with the Montreal Alouettes in 2014. However, he played in just five games that season. In 2017 the Liga de Fútbol Americano Profesional de México invited him to play one game with the Monterrey Fundidores. He has previously mentioned that he would also like to coach in the NFL. He has even spent time with the Cincinnati Bengals during training camp.
