Jay Cutler's ex-wife wants nothing to do with reports of former NFL QB's affair with friend's wife

Jay Cutler’s career in the NFL was largely spent with the Chicago Bears, eight years that were sandwiched between two seasons with the Denver Broncos and one with the Miami Dolphins. For much of that time, he gained a reputation for being a little too indifferent or even, somewhat, lethargic, especially when compared to other quarterbacks around the league.

Cutler started dating reality television star Kristin Cavallari in 2011, and the two were married two years later. Through seven years of marriage, the couple had two sons, but in 2020, decided to call it quits. They announced their divorce in April of that year.

Now, reports have surfaced pointing to Cutler having an affair with a neighbor’s wife while he vacationed with the family a source told In Touch;

“The husband and Jay are good friends and also neighbors. Their kids are all friends. While they were on the trip, Jay was hooking up with his wife.”

The source also stated Cutler and the woman had been “hooking up for a long time.”

When Cavallari was asked about her ex-husband’s elicit affair by a friend, the source also reported the television actress said;

“She just wants to distance herself from all of this.”

After Cutler’s retirement, he stayed somewhat out of the public eye, aside from appearing frequently on the show Very Cavallari, a reality series that was set in Nashville, Tennessee, and followed his then-wife as she launched a business and did a lot of other things that are typical for reality television.

In 2021, Cutler launched his own meat subscription service cleverly named CUTS. He also started his own podcast some time later called Uncut.

After a lackluster NFL career that was outshined by a well-known meme known as “Smoking Jay Cutler”, which depicts the quarterback laid back on the bench with a cigarette photoshopped hanging out of his mouth, Cutler’s post-career exploits have taken a turn for the worse.

What’s more, with his ties to the political party of so-called “family values”, Cutler may come out of these reports as the furthest thing from it. Of course, very few details have come out about the alleged affair, and one source is hardly proof of anything.

Still, the media will be watching to see what Cutler does next.
